[Theory] Start with arena points in wotlk

When i read that arena points will reset when you reach level71 i came up on an idea.

What i was thinking if you'r close to level 71, you PM a gm and tell them they you want to get refounded the arena points you just used on any item. you can tell them you missclicked or w/e and wanna buy something else. Right as the GM is about to give you your points back, you ding 71, and dang, you get points.

The only thing that can stop this afaik is ;

You cant get arena points from 71-79 or something like that.
The GM happens to notice he just gave a 71 arena points.
Bad timing with dinging 71-

This is all about timing if it really works. You have to go from 70-71 while the GM is working on your refounding while he dosen't notice he just gave a level71 arena points.

So what you guys think? Could it work?

and no it wont work the arena points are instantly removed if you hit 71 as per game mechanics =P

ohh and when you do this your arena items wont be arena items anymore they will be old pvp things you buy from vendors in SW =P so you would prolly not even get so fr as to trade it back

So does that mean I should just spend all my arena points I have right now?

yep asap season 4 closes with WOTLK and season 5 begins so betta spend them now if u don't wanna loose =P there is a reset the night before WOTLK you have to spend them by then =P

Yes they do. I tricked a GM into giving me T6 gloves after making up a story that I had turned in my token to a arena vendor for the Merciless Gladiator gloves. I had actually turned in a T5 token. This is a good theory the OP has in my opinion.

when i asked a GM what would happen he told me you are going to lose all your arena teams, so no reset

hmm i think it could work.... i missclicked an arena item before, so i contacted a gm: he told me to destroy the item and when i log login the next day, the points will be refunded. so what to do on release: - dont exp - buy arena item on lvl 70 - talk to gm missclicked - destroy item (request from gm) - after that level to 71 this day - have your arena points refund the next day when you already hit 71+ might work!

you stockpile your points and when Wotlk opens, you get warlock summon (to avoid from lvling up when discovering the new continents) to arena lv80 vendor to buy the items, then start lvling normally?

This doesnt ofc work for items with higher rating or if the vendors arent there from beginning..

It's a long shot really, the GM would probably notice that your up to something or the arena points wont add up at all.
