Looking to invest in Emu again. Need feedback.

    Hey there ownedcore,

Little bit about myself is when I was younger I had the same idea as every other wow player teenager, to start this epic private server so I could get some l33t gear and be a boss and be in control. I loved that feeling of everyone looking up to me and being in control of everything, I had run many servers and brought in that couple hundred bucks and took down server because I decided to spend the money on some stupid thing I wanted to buy online instead of paying for the next months hosting.

Now I return after many years of investment in other business opportunity online that have made me more then enough for living expenses and more, but i got to thinking what do i do for fun? So I decided to return to emu and remember mmowned days. Its time I bring my teen dream back and build a ultimate server that I always wanted.

What am I here looking for?
Really I dont know what I plan to accomplish by posting this thread but I am atleast hoping for some insight on if this is a good idea, Will a well invested server expand? I am not looking for a server to start donation crap, I want to build a server where everything is fair and theres no shortcuts to best gear. I have many buisnesses online that have grown quite big so I know how to get my name out there.

Also may be interested in a partner, I know the kind of guy I am looking for so if your interested let me know and we can discuss it, and this is in no way looking for someone to set it up for me. I know how to follow guides, its not to complicated.

Thanks, and i hope this thread can bring me some assistance to if i should go this route or not.

Yes private servers can still be very big, however getting a foothold in the market is by no means easy.

It's so funny that someone else would think the same thing at the same time as me! I loved running a private server as a kid and I'd love to get back into it. I am a fairly good programmer and I just got a good stable compile of the latest ArcEmu running last weekend. Let me know if you're interested. I am currently trying to get a really good and really stable 3.3.5a core. My DB (LoE) is fully spawned as well. ICC and everything. I have web design experience as well.

Post in the Staff recruitment thread instead, more people look there when they want to help/get recruited.
