A few Advanced questions

Im using a 3.3.3 Arc-Emu Repack.
I just wanna know a few things


1.How do you change the level for Rated Arena teams
More: Like make it where level 1's can go to to arena organizer, get a charter. and que for rated
2.How can you make a place like free for all pvp
More: Like Gurubashi, But a different zone.
3.How can you make a portal Alliance only and Horde only?
More:Like 1 portal that only alliance can use. and 1 portal only horde can use

Would like an answer asap.

1. For the arena requirement you'd most likely need to edit the core of the server.
2. DBC Files (there are guides)
3. Lua portal with checks for the appropriate race requirement.

3.I dont know what your talking about. I already have them made. Just dont know how to make them a single race.

1. You're pretty limited to the already compiled core with a repack. That's one negative side of it.
2. There are guides on how to edit the dbc files for the server (in the dbc folder), search for some. I'm confident that there are guides on how to enable free for all in certain zones.
3. If you made your portals with .lua you'll have to retrieve the race of the user and then check whether or not he has an alliance race ID or a horde race, basically. I'm not a pro at that though so for the actual script you'll have to wait for someone a bit more suitable

Not trying to be rude, but hosting a repack for a server is retarded. You have virtually no control over the server(well you do, but your very limited) your waaaaay better off learning to compile a server, that way you can learn core edits or atleast get someone to do the work for you. And your also not limited to Lua.

First things first, Dont be rude, thats the exact opposite way to get what you want. I was just saying its alot better if you dont use a repack, because its alot harder to update your core. And you'll have alot less control, and after about 50+ revs, your gonna have to quit your server.

1.This is a core edit - which cannot be performed using a repack.
2.There is actually a tutorial on this site to do this, ill try to find it. But it requires a DBC edit
3. You cant make a database portal only be used by 1 faction. If you try to script it, then that issue will be resolved (There Are loads of Lua Portal Scripts I highly suggest this)

Aye, as people have said for point 2 you need to edit the DBC's. This will make it free for all/sanctuary or whatever, but it won't actually say that on your screen still. It just will act like it even though it says it's different.

For point 1 you need to edit the player.h, which you can't do without compiling your own core. Either look into compiling your own core (very easy) or forget it.

A very simple Lua or C++ script will handle what you want to do for point 3, as already stated, and you can find guides in the guides section.

That's not DBC files, dude. That's Areatriggers, and good luck figuring that out, I've been trying my entire time in Emulation, and I'm still lost on how to make me own. Although I haven't actually searched it. XD
Or from what I know. I just read stoneharry's post, and I guess I was wrong. <.<!
