not sure about the dual monitoring, but for msn, you could try a clone like amsn or gaim

Gaim is installed by default. Find it at applications>internet.

Its pretty self explanatory to add an msn account there.

Amsn may be installed via the synaptic package manager or by typing this into a terminal:
    Code:

    sudo apt-get install amsn

    this thread should help you
HowTo: Dual Monitors (Xinerama/TwinView/MergedFB) - Ubuntu Forums
Here is a easier description for each.
Xinerama is when you have one main desktop and the other screen you could put your browser in ro whatever. like widnows sorta
    TwinView you should know lol
Merged FB is the same as Xinerama basically.
BigDesktop is when you have both screens the same resoultion and games/desktop and everything goes into both of the screens making one big ass screen.

BMX that is sorta old lol just do this. Right click desktop and select change desktop background
go to special effects and select maximum
