    Help on making custom weapons...

So Im creating some weapons on my trinity server and I got this question in my head since I'm getting the weapon error when you cannot use any attacks at all.

So I'm trying to use some unused Ids and it works. The weapon can now be used to any attack like "heroic strike".

Thought I got this problem. My display id I have on the weapon is removed. It is now replaced by another display id, in-game not in the db.

So I was wondering is there anyway for me to keep my old display id and still have the weapon working on any attacks like "heroic strike"?

Have you cleared your cache? If you're referring to the icon of the item, it will be the item that was overwritten, as that is the item picture that is in the dbc.

Hey, I think this is probably what you may be looking for. (This is not mine, found it online.) Should fix ya right up:

    Close WoW before doing this.

    1. Download this file - patch-enUS-9.mpq: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
    Another link: none atm

    2. Go into your World of Warcraft folder, after that navigate to your "Data" and then the "enUS" or "enGB" folder.
(These folders can also be called "enDE", "enFR", "enES" and "enRU".)

    3. As a safety precaution, take the patch-enUS-9.mpq you already have in there, and copy it to another directory.
(The file can also be called "enDE", "enFR", "enES", "enUS" and "enRU" instead of "enGB".)

    4. Move the file you downloaded (patch-enUS-9.mpq) into the enUS folder and rename it to what your folder was called.
For example, if you folder was called enRU, you rename the file to patch-enRU-9.mpq.

    5. Restart World of Warcraft and play. :3
