best bet is to just pay the money for the char transfer, hope this helped dude.

I recently got my account recalled, and it has gear that I want to save, but its not on my original server, the one I would like to be in. The account also has lost a lot of my characters including a 65 DK and a small amount of gold.
Now I would like to know would it be better to contact blizzard and have them transfer it back, or transfer the character by myself? The money is not the issue, the gear is. I would like to know what would be the best option to preserve the gear?
If there is a chance that my older characters could be restored that would be a plus too, thanks.

if i were you, i would call blizz and say i came back to play my account after the summer break only to find that my main character had been transferred to a different server and i dont know why. you SHOULD get a free transfer to your old server, i highly doubt they will do or say anything about your new gear. IMO they would never waste their time looking at what gear/gold/ect you aquired when your account was "hacked". Most likely just an e-mail saying to contact an in-game GM to restore anything that my be missing.

Phoning them seems to be the best option, just say that your coming back I can't see them taking time to check gear etc. they've plenty of other tickets to reply to.
