MaNGOS:

pros:
*latest patch support faster
*over 500 Repacks
*Every build works
*Has better support
*Is way more stable
*Has a better database. (Udb)
*Easy to compile
*Best server uptimes(without crashes)
*Has encrypted passwords!!!!

someone must ad cons to mangos i have not found any bad things about it...

ArcEmu:

pros

*800,000,000 precompiled repacks
*has lua support

cons

*crashes are a daily thing
*no support WHATSOEVER!!!! THEY ARE *******S TO PPL ON IRC CHANNEL THAT ASK HELP!!!!!!! and on thir forums you will wait years to get answers... mainly because (Dfighter) and hasbro = noobs yet they run arcemu ...
*countless bugs / areas that when you enter them it crashes your wow and or server
*massive amounts of items missing from db
*no good db out there anymore the good ones have stopped support.


This is from years of testing, watching and this is the info i have gathered... don';t believe it when ppl say arcemu is better(they just want you to have a shit ass server so they get more ppl than you) test both out and see wat i mean i bet 80% of you that test BOTH CORES will switch to MaNGOS/Trinity...

Don't try to lie to ppl about arcemu or mangos/trinity keep it real

Your completely biased and fail to see that each emulator is exactly the same good as the other. Pretty much everything you've said in your post is just what you have gathered from trying to use it, without actually investigating whether or not it is true or not.

Repacks vs Own compile

Repacks Cant be changed to fit what you want.
Repacks Can make it faster to get a server up but you will beg to learn to compile your own when you see how many errors there are.
Repacks have websites yes but they fail on security as they are easy to hack and destroy.
to me repacks = Huge Fail!

when you compile your own core sure you got to read more and install more stuff but you know more about the core you use.
webdesign is the key point in managing a server. there are millions of free scripts and sites to choose from.

if you are lazy to do this yourself i promise you will fail!!!

compiling your own core is not as hard as you think.
just search how to compile your own core.
the first time you do it it seems hard but the second or third you become a pro and its easy!
this is all i have to say for now!

Repacks are not designed to run your own server off, this is just what people seem to use them for (why?).

no actualy it is true you just fail as much as arcemu so you deny that arcemu has billions of bugs? show me one server that has been compiled that is arcemu that is not a fail that works 30% as good as the other cores ill send you 100$... yeah exactly you cant.
