Item # is not a valid item! CRAP!

Hey guys,

So I got my server up and running... added a few items... then when I go to add those items to my bag (.character additem #) it says that that number is not a valid item. I have added items to my database before, and I can see the item in my database. So, why the hell isn't this working? It's driving my completely nuts.

Make sure you reloaded the items and make sure the item id isn't too high eg, 9000000.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. May I ask how to reload items? Also, my items are in the 500000's... is that too high?

Yes it's too high. ArcEmu cores have a six or so digit limit on items. It can be changed if you compile your own core. (multiple guides available)

.server reload items

I believe it was. .server is the category, reload is the command and items is the table. Can be .server reload creature_names or .server reload or anything else (though "active" tables can not be reloaded afaik, i.e creature_spawn or gameobject_spawn or worldmap_info, etc)

An easier way to reload the table is to open up Arcemu-world and type reload items.

and actually this one is better and easier because if u're not a handler and aint got world.exe on your PC , you can do it ingame
