    Change Combat Support

after doing some experimenting i found out that NPC's who have their combat support to 0X002 act like guards and attack NPC's that are the player's enemy, you can see an NPC's combat support simply by going .npc info. so i was wondering, is there a way to change the Combat support? and if not are there any unused NPC id's that have their combat support set to 0X002 that you know of? i could use different guards throughout wow because i'm not going to be using all the wow territories anyway, but i don't think there would be enough

0_o I think this can be handled via the `guardtype` column in `creature_proto`.

According to the ArcEmu wiki, "The type of guard the creature is. Unknown (?)" which is very helpful.

My suggestion would be to experiment with values in here and look at current guards. When I scroll by ID in the guardtype column, it returns the values 1 and 2 being used a lot. I think you this could be a solution.

As far as the 0x002 goes, these sorts of algorithms are used in opcodes and field flags usually when related to creatures, so I think your trying to do it the harder and more complicated way from what I gather. These are probably automatically set via the creature_proto, I wouldn't be surprised.

    Experiment and see what happens.

I'd say look this NPC up in the database, and look for anything that differentiates him from any other mob in fields like guardtype, other than the obvious

ok, i did some testing and guard type is for PVP guards, but if you want a guard to attack hostile NPCs u just set his faction to 1857. i needed anti hostile enemy guards but the knowing how to make PVP ones will help me in the future, so thnx Stoneharry!
