custom curreny, making npc to redeem token.

Ok so this is what i want to do i want to make a custom curreny "The forgotten token of the Exile" as a curreny. then i want the token to be able to be redeemed at an npc vendor. how do i make the currency? how do i make the vendor to be setup for this? how do i items to vendor? thanks.
