So, how do I get into the Emu?

Ok, so, i followed this guide to setup my server:

all the way down to the green text in the bottom.



now, apparently I missed something important..but HOW do I actually get INTO the game, and how do I get others into the game?


will setting this up interfere with my ability to play normal wow?

I'm looking to make a very stable, exact copy of the actual full game with both expansions, (one of my players only has original game though) and tweak it a bit with a few custom items, spells, quests, perhaps creating a new class and lich king boss encounter (or even play AS the lich king NPC and be the boss encounter)

Ok so you have to start up .exes to start your realm. Then change your realmlist to "set realmlist localhost". No this does NOT affect your ability to play normal WoW.

However, emulation isn't perfect, or it would be 0938429038 times more populated than it is now. Your not gonna get anywhere near close to an exact copy.

I see your on your way to 200 posts as well Vindi, anyway if it was also to make it public use that instead of localhost, others can to play with u if ur not public, I recommend playing on servers before you make your own!

So i've been at this for about 48 hours now and I finally learned how to do most of it, but i decided to wipe and reinstall some things (mySQLfor example) and when i reinstalled apparently theres some bug and wouldn't let it work, so after hours of googling I deleted some things in registry etc, and tried to reinstall, now the reinstall says its corrupt, contact my personel department or something, any thoughts here? I downloaded mySQL Front end in case(i think its newer) i could use that, but NAVICAT 8 lite says

2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on "localhost" (10061)

I am exhausted, I've tried everything I can think of, any help would be appreciated greatly!
