I'm going to make my own private server that I could mess around with,
but I'm confused what would be best, MaNGOS or ArcEmu?

Please write why you like the emulator the most.

You say 'mess around with'. I would go for the ArcEmu option out of those 2 (there are many more emulaters) simple because it's the easiest to setup and will keep working under loads of custom content etc where Mangos is more blizzlike (so people argue but it has more working) but is hard to maintain, setup and if you mess it up it's hard to fix.

Thanks, I've tried creating a private server some time ago, it didn't really go that good. (I remember it was called Antrix) I'll try again with ArcEmu.
