    Adding custom Items help

Hey all, I'm new to making wow private servers (right now just hosting a private game for myself to get the hang of things) and I used MANGOS_2.4.3_NOOBPACK_BY_711 that I got from this site. I made some custom items I would like to import into my server but have no idea how to get into the database the noobpack set up using SQLyog (if there is another program you would suggest, i'm open to suggestions).

    So my questions are:

    1) Do I have to set up a connection to the database?
1.1) If so, how do I connect to the database that the noobpack set up?

    2) Once I get connected to the database, where do I put the custom item sql's and how.

If anybody could help me out getting that to work, i'll give em rep.

    1) Yes.
1.1) I personally use Navicat, but the process should be similar for Sqlyog. You need to set up a new connection in Sqlyog, though I'm not 100% sure how you actually go about doing that. Try the File dropdown and look for New Connection... or something like that. I do not know how this particular repack is set up, but you should be able to establish a connection by using localhost as the hostname/IP and then using root as both the username and password. Click Ok/Apply/Save whatever, and then open up your new connection by double-clicking on it.

    2) Once you've successfully connected, adding the items is a simple matter of running the SQL query. Connect, and then select the mangosd database by double-clicking on it in the left-hand panel. A list of the tables in mangosd database should expand. Then, select the Query tab in the right-top panel of Sqlyog. This is where you paste the SQL query (SQL queries are the long strings of text that usually begin with something like INSERT INTO or UPDATE). So open up wherever you saved the custom item queries and paste them into that box. You can do them all at once.

Once you've found the query and pasted it into the box, you need to actually run it. I don't know exactly how you do this, so look for a little play button (right-pointing triangle) somewhere, or right click anywhere in the query box and select Run Query or Execute or something like that.

If the query is successful and does not throw any errors, then you're items are now in the database. What you have to do next is reload the tables in MaNGOS using the .reload command, but I don't know the table names so you're better off just restarting the server.

Sorry for the vague instructions but I don't use Sqlyog and I no longer run MaNGOS so I had to guess a little, heh. Good luck
