How can others connect to my DB?

Hi, when I try to make my database avalable to my friends. They always get an error saying "(Pcname) is not allowed to connect to this database. Access denied.

I even get that error message myself when I try to connect. How do I fix this and make it so my friends have access to my DB?

Have you enabled Remote Control when you installed MySQL?

Go to "Start Menu -> All programs -> MySQL -> MySQL Server 5.0 -> MySQL Server Instance Config Wizard" and click next, next, *standard configuration - next, next, then click "Enable root access from remote machines"

Ok.. now when I try to do that.. it says service could not be started

Edit: I got it! But now how do my friends connect to the databse? I put in my hamachi IP as hostname and then password is the one i made?
