Uninstall MySQL
Go to the folder where it was installed and delete the other stuff now reinstall it and it should work if not post

Choose for Detailed Configuration and click Next. there are alot of steps after this , not just service thing , please explain for me

hmm, when ever i try to create a character i get instantly disconnected.. NO errors appear in AScent or logonserver..Any ideas?

Can you please help me with this ?

hey i got an error code of 1045 for navcat what does this mean..

followed this to the letter.....and get an error when i run ascent.exe

guys- the solution to the above is to be very careful when copying over the ascent config....i did it again taking great care and that error is gone.

How do i copy paste something very carefully...? Do you mean like bit for bit?

Open your REALMS.CONF and make sure you have every " symbol matched. I betcha dollars to donughts you FORGOT one.

Ive been having my own server for a couple weeks now. I'm deciding to start all over with everything and wanted to use this repack. I did everything step-by-step and when I try to open my logonserver.exe, it opens and says Connecting to MySQL server...and then it closes. Any idea why? (It doesn't say it can't connect. And there are NO errors.)

Okay, I solved the realm config error on my own
But

When i open ascent.exe and logonserver.exe,

Ascent.exe says:
Connecting to logonserver on '127.0.0.1:8093...
Authenticating...
Authentication failed

Logonserver.exe says :
Authentication request from 127.0.0.1, result FAIL.
Key: 9AA3B630A77DDD4D7FAFBC48216AA3EB7A56FDFA

Both Logonserver.exe and Ascent.exe keeps repeating this... any idea why?
