having a bit of problem getting it public, well i follow the rules exactly and when i start the server the logon starts and says shutting down and it then keeps shutting down and restarting, please help.

Hmm im kinda stuck at AScent,it says that Connecting with logon server failed.Can you help me?

Hey can you help me? i done all what the post said but if i put the address i got from No-Ip in the Conf.files then it just keeps shutdown as soon as it's ready :S ??

srry guys i think this is my last question for this server i set up everything as followed ir worked well private for me but when i try to make it public it gets an error when connection it appears in differnt lines depending on when i run it but its around the time it connects to the logonserver and it says
15:21 N LogonCommCliet: Logonserver latency is 0ms.
Bind unsuccessful on port 8129.
Waiting for console thread to termintate
then it goes thru and starts shutting down and deleting things till it pops up with a windows error saying Ascent.exe has stopped working
i have know idea how to fix that
any suggestions

by the way i tihnk this is the same problem as the people above cause that what is shown but i searched for the start of the error so its something with that Bind on port 8129 but i dont know why its bound so i think this will help us all

i dunno if the prob is .net but the D/C thing happens mostly if u've got a version higher then 2.3.0 (like 2.3.1 or 2.3.3) so try downgrading first i think there is a thread that tells how to do that.

you can have as much repacks as u want but i guess each has a different database, and thus different servers. as for the add items thing i think u can do it using gm commands but not sure if it crashes the server, some people seem to have that problem best thing to try. as to add them through the database dunno i'm curious to know that too...

Im stuck i fallowed what you said to do but then when i open up ascent and logonserver it says connecting to (the server) for 10 seconds then says unable to connect and closes. It has been a good 20 min since in made the site at NO-IP (so thats not the problem) and NO i didnt forget to changfe something...i actuall change all the 0.0.0.0, 127.0.0.1, and localhost to the site...SO WTF should i do???

Ok so i read thru every single post to make sure tht my question wasnt already answerd and why is it that its the most asked question but yet its never been answerd every other question between the how can i make an acc and +rep post it the quest why i get D/C'd whhen i try to make it public and i no that all the pics and all the questions are for the same reason its that port 8129 and all i need to know is what that port is and if their is simply just another port that i can set it to or something i can tell my firewall to allow cause im not taking down my firewalls so that i can make my internet open to every one that makes no sence i should be makeing more.
Anyway the question is
are their and ways to fix the port probs without taking down the fire wall or removing my router

umm...where do I find ad_xx... i don't understand " after u copy ur ad_xx make a new folder name maps in ur wow folder C:\program.....
and click on ad_xx and it will start adding maps in

the ad_xx is actually ad_(then EnUs or the city ur from it is in the repack thier is a folder called ad.exe click into that and then drag the one you one

im not completely sure thier isnt enough information to tell for sure
but if this is only after you make it public its same problem i have with the port someone said to take down ur firewall but i dont thinks thats a good idea

if ur getting d/c like as soon as you login its probably because u have 2.3.2 or w\e u need to uninstall wow and reinstall and only update to 2.3 but if your on 2.3 now then dont uninstall thats not it. But this repack was made on 2.3.0 so ur wow needs to be only update to 2.3.0

im not sure about that one id help if i could if your getting an error mssg like the magerockslol guy is and it only not working when you go public its same probelm like 90000 ppl have its a port error and ive been waiting for a way to fix it

to the port error ppl look out for something concerning a post in maybe another forum of something that says how to open ports ive google it and been watching so if you find something that might help alot of ppl maybe you could even make a guide and get ++rep
