Hey, good job btw. i followed alll ur steps (up to the public part) and for the first 10 minutes it worked fine. then i tried to add itemset 668 (rogue tier6) and it disconected me. no error msgs showed on and of the cmd line cliets so i tried on a different char and it did the same thing. and now i cant even log on to any chars. advice plz? btw im gona try to redo the navicat database and see if that works.edit: i redid that part and it came up dry it wored for a bit but did the same thing.

Omg I'm so close!

I got into my account created a character and got past the loading screen but for some reason right when it gets into the world, it freezes up and disconnects me...

Anyone know why this might be?

Edit: I just patched to 2.3.3 (probably a bad idea ) and now i try to log in and it says "Unable to Connect"...help!

When Im trying to start my sever it all seams to work fine, but when it stands something like this in the ascent.exe DOS window: Deleting cashe "zoneguards"

I get a error. please help

cuz u must have the logonserver and ascent running at the same time and make sure the ip on both of them are Right or it will Auto close. and give ya a error i know i set one up last night took me a hour cuz i got piss'ed wouldnt let me connect to 127.0.0.1 had to use hamachi and connect to my self lol i use a modem so ya

please help ! i cant get my firewall to accept 3306 or what ever is that port.... when it says pess retry when you have accepted port 3306 and i dont know what is that damn name i have to write there... please help, Regards Kalapojat.

ok guys ive been trying to start a private server for the past 3 days and ive donwloadeed many packs before my first download was this one and the only prob ive been having is when i go to logon to the server and play a charcter it loads then when it is done loading it freezes up and dissconnects me but the server dosent shut down?? PLz somebody help me i have setup a server before on another comp but i dont know why it wont work plz reply with an anwser thank you

hey great guide it all works but i have what that first guy has everytime i run it instantly stops and when i try to play non public i can get on my server and mke guys but when i log in it logs my out to account login screen
any suggestions

edit: by the way istarted readign thru posts and saw my problem like 20 times but no solutions after 6 pages and skipped a head and still saw problem with no solution so i was hoping that u might have found one or something cause i can't play on 127.0.0.1 ip iether it drops me out of the server as soon as i get on it for some reason. other than that all the noob questions like how do i make a character have been answerd but i already knew that and i also have a hint for those making armor at wow-v they have a weapon making thing along with bags and sorts it just takes a bit of skill to use when u need the IDs i had a mangos server so i get this thing but i heard that ascent runs better and is made for fun so if you can get out some reason why mine is being gay and not working id much apreciate it

the server works fine after some problems... now got only one dilemma, all mobs and characters in game are static...they don't wonder around as they should do, and wanted to know if there is a way to increase the respawn rate of monsters...other than that great guide THX

the problem of D/C after u decide the character it seems it's because of the game version try downgrading (reinstalling and repatching) till version 2.3.0 i had the same prob do that and worked great...

he just said reinstall WoW and or repair and upgrade untill u get to 2.3.0 or just wait till the 2.3.2 or w\e patch comes out

I'm not sure (correct me if im wrong) but i think if you run the repair it will downgrade it. im not sure but i vaugely remembering my frind telling me this. Ya i ws wrong i tried it and it didnt work, sry

no u have to reinstall, at least that is the only way i know and don't think there is another....

So anyone got the frozen characters thing? or is it just me?!

Everything works great until i enter world then It just D/Cs me right away.
