i have followed the instructions all the way to excecuting the SQL server. The server wont start but i did everything you said.

any ideas what to do?

Hey, great guide, but i have a little problem. When i start WoW it gets stuck at connected and never goes further. I know i had this problem once like half a year ago and its actually very simple, though i cant remember what i did to fix it any ideas? (I did everything like in your guide)

Ok I got to say this is a great Guide thumbs up!! But Blizz can screw up a wet dream with a patch we all know that... so how we gonna solve this issue..???? how can I downgrade a patch let me know so I can logon and play I just canceled my wow account and want to play locally for awhile..

I can't get mysql to configure. it says it cannot connect to "localhost". Any advice???

I'm first time create my own server.so meybe can someone tell me how to change server rates? xp,drop .etc...?

Everything works great except for 2 things. The first one is that my friend when he logs in it puts him somewhere other than the place he last left off at. The second problem is that when he logs in he still starts off with the starter gear when he has more advanced gear already in his bag and on his character. Is their anyway to fix these 2 problems?

I get dc:d anytime I add an item by .additem or speak to an vendor :S what would it be
also gettin some random dc:s

Nice guide, but im getting the disconnecting problem too, i made my character, but when i enter world the game freezes for about 2 seconds then i get disconnected.

EDIT: i got it so i can log in but when i do a .additem command i get dc'ed and i cant log back into that character and i have to delete it.

Great guide, everything worked until I got to the the realms.conf part. For some reason I can't change anything in the .conf files.

It's probably something simple that I'm overlooking but please help.

Okay 1. I know this is a very dumb question to ask and the answer is probably yes but I know some computers don't have it and some people overlook it.
2. The question. Do you have notepad? If so make sure that the .conf files are opened in notepad.
Sorry not trying to sound like a smart one but sometimes people make that mistake

But anyway I found this guide absolutely great I +Repd already! :-)!
