GUIDE - Ascent 2.3.x Server w/ Mafiaboy's Repack

I'm having troubles with something here guys. When I first built the server using this guide (keep in mind I haven't made a server since 2.1.X)...I could log in fine, but when I went to add something from my navicat items table to my backpack, I would get kicked. I had to delete my character and create a new one in order for me to log back in. I thought it had something to do with the Cache in my regular WoW folder, but I'm not sure. Now when I log in, it goes from the loading screen, shows the terrain, and I get booted immediately....what's going on? anyone have any helpful ideas at all?

So... I can play, but it doesn't have TBC enabled, what's wrong? Yes I have TBC Installed
EDIT: I made it possible to play TBC, but I can't get any items, I can loot some starting mobs but when I try to make epics or talk to vendor, it disconnects

ok, now im haveing a slight problem I can connect and login and everything, i create my character, but when I loot a corpse, or try to buy something from a vendor, I get disconnected from my server. plz help!

I had this problem at first too. In the mafiaboy's repack folder, u will see another folder called ad.exe. You must move the corresponding executable (enUS for the US version, enGB for the British version, etc.) into your WoW folder. From there, run the executable, and voilah! You can play.

Nop dosent work but when the "ascent" file loads i saw somewhere saying 26343ms then i tryed to connect and i got disconnected i looked to the "ascent" and it was saying something like disconnected 62342 ms. How to make the ms fall down??

Okay 1. I know this is a very dumb question to ask and the answer is probably yes but I know some computers don't have it and some people overlook it.
2. The question. Do you have notepad? If so make sure that the .conf files are opened in notepad.
Sorry not trying to sound like a smart one but sometimes people make that mistake

As far as I know I can't open it with notepad.

dont know if u answerd this yet but the mall everytime you try an use the mall
( only for the people inside ) it kicks me off my server

EDIT* also when I do .additem # its kicks me off an now that i added that i can log back on with that char.



Besides that everything is just fine got my server public an everything

I thought this would a cool repack to install, followed every thing to the "T" to make sure that I didn't screw it up and get all sorts of newbie errors. Then I get everything all set up and everything runs beautiful. I go to log in to the realm, no problem, create my character no problem(noticed things started slowing down), Click on enter, then thats when it happens. It loads the character (about 3 seconds later get dc/d from the server) And my system goes hella slow at that point, and I can't reconnect, forced to close out WoW and try again, and same thing happenes, then all of a sudden i get semi in and end up in a test area, and crash again. Great Guide, just wish that the end result was as well put together as the guide was. Personally I think i'll find another repack, one with less errors and less pulling out my hair. Cheers

Actually it didn't answer anything at all for me, because I already ran the ad.exe in the beginning, and then I deleted the folder itself, because it is not needed after the initial installation.

The main problem is that it doesn't let me in for more than 2 seconds before it disconnects, I ran the ad.exe for the corresponding region I am in twice just to make sure that the maps were correct and nothing happened to the first installation. And to my dismay the same thing was happening, I don't know what the problem is, and rather than have to go file by file to try to figure it out, i'll stop here.
