Herleybob - Ascent 2.3.0 Server Setup

Ok, again I posted this info about setting up an account in SQLyog a few pages back. Please read the forums before asking for help as you will more than likely find your answer there.

Creating an account before you log into WoW:
go into the accounts folder under ascent in SQLYog and create an account? I had to go into it and actually create an account first. I did this by clicking on Ascent in SQLYog then clicking on Accounts and then I clicked at the top where the cylinder with an eye on it is to get it to show the table info on the right hand side. I then clicked in the window where it says acct and put a 1 there and then filled out the login with whatever login name you want then filled in the password with what ever password you want then i set the gm field to az so that this account has full gm access to all the commands, then i filled in the flags with an 8 so that i can play with the expansion BC. Then i was able to start up the server and game and actually login. Try that and let me know how that goes.

hmm for some reason my accs wont work says table ascent.accounts doesnt exist quert select ip expire from ipban help plz

there is usually an accounts.conf table for accounts i believe. make the flags 8 for bc and the email can be @test.com. hope that helped.. didnt really understand you!

Hey, I typed in eerything correct and checked it all 3 times but the Importer.exe still says theres Access denied for user 'Root@localhost' (using password: YES) :yuck:

there is a typo in guide here is fix :
logonserver.conf :
<LogonDatabase Hostname = "127.0.0.1"
Username = "root"
Password = "password"
Name = "accounts"
Port = "3306"
Type = "1">

hi m8s i have a bit of a prob :/ so ... i already made a server a while ago and my friends could log on on it dunno how i did it (i think i just gave my ip) but now if i give my ip they can login but at realmlist when they klick ok after a sec og logging in server they go to the realm selection again then i tried to changed all my ips from 127.0.0.1 to my ip but that also didnt work so changed back to 127.0.0.1 i now found a way with hamachi but then ur friend needs hamachi and needs to connect to mine what is the normal way plz (like i did on my last server) btw i have no router :P

You would have to hard code your Repack, Make a new one to get 70+.

Your accounts table should be Accounts.accounts not Ascent.accounts

Ascent.accounts =

Ascent - is the Database,
Accounts - the Table in the database.

hello herleybob, i got an problem, i start logonserver.exe and it stand something like:
"ASSERTION FAILED"
"Logon database paraments not found"
Then the logonserver.exe shuts down
Ascent.exe dosent works either its shut down.
Im running Windows Vista.
How to do? please answer me

Okay evertyhing is working great except one thing! There are no npc's or mobs on the maps. Anyone know how to fix this?
