Why do ppl always ignore me on forums can I get it in a DB form only...PLZ!

may sound a little confusing but it comes with its own database you need to make your own MySQL account seperatly and you need to do the map extracting seperatly and as 2dgreengiant said

there is a mysql server built into the repack the user n pass is:

user: root
pass: ascent
database: ascent

so when you make your seperate MySQL account make the Pswrd ascent and mostly everything else that says name= "blah Blah" in it make it ascent like i think its like that in the logon server.Conf and make the password ascent to them
FOR THOSE THAT NEED TO MAKE ACCOUNTS
you need to download a cracked navicat or sqlyog and use your MySQL password in it and hope that the DB is loaded into it after you make a Connection called ascent in it Dont know were to get navicat from but a full version that 2dgreengiant has on a thread is here RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

So um when is there gonna be a website added to this? It's kinda hard to have ppl on wowstatus signup when they get a "page not found error" I think until there is a website (i love the blizzlike one) im just gonna find a repack with a website.

Well i noticed that when i changed the logon db name to ascent within the config files that is what caused this once i changed them all back to logon it fixed the problem.. It just posted the account/char info in the logon db rather than the ascent db (which is not a big deal and imo better)

so in realms.cfg

<LogonServer Address = "127.0.0.1"
             Port = "8093"
             Name = "logon"
             RealmCount = "1">

ascent.cfg

<WorldDatabase Hostname = "127.0.0.1" Username = "root" Password = "ascent" Name = "ascent" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "127.0.0.1" Username = "root" Password = "ascent" Name = "logon" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

and logonserver.cfg

<LogonDatabase Hostname = "127.0.0.1"
               Username = "root"
               Password = "ascent"
               Name     = "logon"

check the stuff in red make sure it matches.. there is something wrong with trying to run everything from the ascent db when it comes to char creation so just do it this way and it works fine :P

I had ascent in one of the fields that should have been logon. I can't see if it is working at home, but I can see the files. I checked here at work, and they sync, and the one here at work... works.

I deleted everything here at work, used the settings I had at home, and reproduced the issue here, and fixed it by replacing ascent with logon for the field I had mismatched.

All seems well in character selection land, now I just need to learn the in-game commands, as well as how to properly use navicat... but that's another Oprah!
