Ok, I got a problem when im starting up ascent.exe it says result:Failure and when im try to log in on my account the realm is not there?
Plz help

i have a problem with mysql , when i get in there , there i try to connect and it say:
"Error No. 2003
Can't connect to MySql server on "localhost" (10061)"
Can anybody help me plx? :>

Thanks Gastricpenguin - great guide. I'm a noob and got everything running at 3rd attempt so great result as far as I'm concerned. If it helps anyone else - three tips from my experience:

Make sure you update maxbuild to 8000 in logonserver.conf
Use navicat over sqlyog (personal view but more intuitive interface)
Don't forget to rename the DBC folder

Oh and one other - have patience!! It does work so if you're having trouble it must be something you've done!!

Case in point, there are few to no repacks that work on macs.

i've fowarded all the ports, and done everything, but im using a different repack and all, but i can connect but my friend can't. and also on your dns host for the ip are you supposed to put your external or internal ip?

Did you make sure your SQL server is on?
Start -> All programs -> Mysql -> Mysql Server 5.0+ -> Run command client

It workt perfectly for me!! In this afternoon i wil post a reply with a guid i made how i have configured the server an got it running.

In the mean time i want to try the gm commands, but were can i find those ???

And how can users create an account over the internet without having to restart becouse the server hase to load the new made users !!
