Ascent N00B Server Creation Instructions (Hamachi)

I am having a problem with Authentication in Acsent.exe, here is a pic. Any advice?

I took the "I'm a newb" thing out of the die directive thing on the ascent config, but the ascent server still just pops up and does away. There was no die directive thing on the logonserver config.

One in the middle and one on the bottom

alright, most everything seems to be working now except for one thing. when I put in my name and password, it authenticates, handshakes, bla bla bla, but then it just sits on "connected" and eventually tells me I've been disconnected, anyone know how to fix this?

hey there, everything seems to work except when I run ascent and it goes through its loading process it won't connect to my ip that I put for hamachi. Please let me know what I did wrong I am sure this is user error on my part and I would truely appreciate any help.

man, everytime I fix one problem, I encounter another. Now I can get into my server, but there are absolutely no npc's to be found. No enemies, noting in isntances, no vendors, absolutely nothing. anyone ave advice as to what I did wrong or how I should fix it?

Well I found what I was doing wrong for that problem but now I am getting the same problem with authentication that cross 1985 posted about please help.

I'm still having my problem, but I think I can help with kildich and cross_185. I was actually having the exact same problem as you guys. Go through all your configs and make sure you have the correct password for your MySQL everywhere it mentions passwords, not just in the places where the guide said to edit things. That helped me out.

Thanks Smokywings that was it. I am hoping you can help this noob out a bit more, everything seems to be working now except when I load up WoW I can't connect. I have a username and pass for an account that I have had for several years can I not use that? It just says unable to connect and I don't get why.

Lol, You can't use your retail account and password its a completely different server what you do is. In Navicat or Whatever you use go into Account open up the tables and fill it in Acc= Account number put that as 1 Login And Password as whatever you want it to be and Set GM as 3 now leave everything else as default apart from Flags If you have burning crusade expansion set it as 8 and if you don't set it as 0 then save if [For Navicat you press the little tick button] l i'm quite expierienced at Private Servers Despite only just registering on this forum and all i can say Is if that doesn't work is Did you Open your Logonserve.exe and ascent.exe if so look in both of them for any errors and if it Still doesn't work post a picture of your Config's Your error in the Cmd Console. I Personally Recommend Useing WinchMans Repack, It has next to No errors and its 2.2.0 with all working skills. [Sorry if You Don't want me recommending this the creator of this thread i'll remove this endbit if you wish me to]

Hey thanks for posted in response to my message about not being able to log in, I really appreciate it. I did what you said with the accounts table and its still not allowing me to log in. I must have an error somewhere but I have scoured the configs for hours trying to find it. I am not sure how to um post a pic of my config, I have a far amount of computer knowledge but in some areas I know next to nothing.

actually kildich, I also had that same problem...again. On the realm server config, the last time you need to put in your hamachi IP, make sure that you have the correct port inserted afterwards, using a colon in between the two. I forget what the right port is, as there are 3 or 4 ports that serve different functions, but I'd just suggest searching though your config files and looking for anything that mentions the word port, and using that number. Hope it helps.

I went through all the ports I could find and still am not able to get past the login for WoW, I made the account and everything. I must have a major problem with something. Any other advise would be great.
