[Guide] How to set up a 3.0.3 private server! ( Really easy, with pictures! )

When i tryed Logging on it says invalid account or somthing like that what do i do and do i need to have bought the game WotLK?

To get the Wotlk Exp go here:
worldofwarcraft.com\account\download\clients\pc\InstallWoW.exe
NOTE - convert the top link to a web link using the correct / and not \
Since its my first post, the site wont let me post a link so I had to do it this way
Download the 1Mb file then when you run it select WotlK exp.
This will download the exp. and install it on your computer.

Now to get the connection to work with your server you need to edit your realmlist.wtf. on the new patch (3.0.x) that file was moved into <world of warcraft install>\Data\enUS\realmlist.wtf

open that file up and delete everything in it and type this:
set realmlist 127.0.0.1

or change 127.0.0.1 to your server IP if you run the server on a diffrent box.
I also noticed that on vista the new installer wants to move the game from the default install path of:
c:\program files\world of warcraft\
to:
c:\Users\Public\Games\World of warcraft\
So your realmlist.wtf file could be in:
c:\Users\Public\Games\World of warcraft\Data\enUS\

Yeah, goddamnit..I did everything the guide asked, and..it keeps frikin saying: "Authenticating..." "Authentication timed out..." whenever I click on arcemu_world ( with arcemu_logonserver activated. ) So..like, what the hell do i do? please anyone?

[EDIT]: Now it says Authentication Failed..OMFG.. WTF?!
[EDIT2]: The Ip was on 127.0.0.1..Didn't work, tried it on my IP..didnt work, then I tried it on my lan IP..which is that 192.168.#.### stuff, and it said "Host "blah ****in blah not allowed to connect to this MySQL server" I mean..hold on..what the hell?

Okay here is what I think is going on with your setup:
Open the arcemu-world.conf and look for this line:

<LogonServer DisablePings = "0"
RemotePassword = "ascent">

Then open the arcemu-logonserver.conf and look for this line:

<LogonServer RemotePassword = "ascent"
AllowedIPs = "127.0.0.1/32"
AllowedModIPs = "127.0.0.1/32">

The value for "RemotePassword" needs to match (in my case its ascent)

[EDIT]:Okay..there's something wrong..I log in and my character is flying and I get a WoWError. Any ideas how to fix it?
[EDIT2]: Okay..when I log in, its like.. if i click ANYTHING AT ALL, like..even if i try to move my screen..WoW crashes. I can't see the land, i cant see my char, i cant see anything BUT the char bar

I think you might be missing the "maps" directory, try this:
in the server directory there is a directory called extras.
In there there is "ad.exe"
copy this file to the root of your wow directory:
winxp c:\program files\world of warcraft\
winVista c:\Users\Public\World of warcraft\
Then execute it. It should start extracting the maps and you will see a new folder named "maps".

Once completed (takes a long time) copy the maps folder into your Server folder in the same place as your arcemu-logonsrver.exe. Do not copy the content of the folder but the entire folder (I hope i'm clear) so you should have something like this
\Server\maps\

Last step - restart the server lol

You need to do the follwoing: (I am assuming you have a router and you are on some kind of high speed internet with NO static IP)

1. go to dyndns.com and register for free dynamic DNS service.
2. You will need to follow the instructions and add a host. (remmber this host name)
3 (optional) install the DynDNs update client , it will update your IP with your host name as your IP changes from your ISP
4. You will need to use port forwarding on your router and forward these ports:
3724 (Realmlist)
8129 (World)
Maked sure you direct them to your server internal IP.

Now tell your friends to update their realmlist.wtf with the following
set realmlist <your host name from dyndns>

That should do it, good luck

Okay..I don't know what the hell is going on with this shit..i got everything right, I extracted the maps shit and all, everything's AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS. As you can see in the screenshot above.

Ignore that, its just Trainer Spells.. you can add all spells urself as a GM i think its.. .learn all?

Alright, now I have 2 more questions. First one is pretty noobish, but hey, I'm a noob.

1: How can I set the Account Name/Password for logging into WoW and also make more accounts? (Solved)

2: Will my friends be able to enter the server using Hamachi, and how? (I already know how to configure Hamachi, I just need to know if anything must be changed in the server settings.)
