is the "yourservername" (the code that you are supposed to put into the panex config file) a made up name or is it your DynDNS host name? or is it your DynDNS account name?
also is the "yourdyndns" that you must put into the panex config file your DynDNS hostname or account name or ip address?
last question, is the "myWoWserver" that you have to enter into the navicat connection box the same thing as the "yourservername" that was previously entered into the panex config files? thanks

The "YourServerName" is the name made up by you. Such as, WoWScape.

The "YourDYNDNS" is your DynDNS. It would look something like this. lol.servegame.com

The "MyWoWServer" is the same as "YourServerName".

Try searching for the host file using the search tool. (Btw, what OS are you running?)

I have followed your instructions successfully up to step 4. When I click the test connection button it gives me the following error:

    ORA-12569: TNSacket checksum failure

I have tried to google it and make sense of what to do but everything that anyone talks about just goes over my head. Do you have any idea what I need to do?

k, thanks a bunch for the answer Sounddead. Have another question though (then I think im all set) =P:
I open up the "Panex Control Panel 6.4" then I open up "Navicat 8 for MySQL" (30 day trial version)
in the "general" tab I have set the:
connection name: "WoWroflmao" (my server as I entered it in the "Realm1" of the panex config.)
    Host name/ IP address: "localhost"
    Port: "3306"
    User name: "root"
    password: "panex"
I have the "save password" box checked and when I click "test connection" I get an error message that states:
"1045-Access denied for user 'root'@localhost' (using password: YES)
is there some other username/password that I need to enter?
I am running a windows XP, if you can get back to me as soon as possible that would be great, thanks!

Every time I try to open arcemu-world/logonserver, a message comes up that says "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling this application may fix the problem." I reinstalled the repack and it still doesn't seem to work, this is my first private server that I've tried to make so theres probably an obvious answer that I can't find...hope you can help
