good news i got it working and i can get on but when i try to make it public on hmachi it says this

Mmkay, I see you're using hamachi...

The username has to be the same as you entered when you created the "connection" in Navicat. And to make sure that you've made the right username, click Test Connection. If not working, follow steps below.

"Host 'POPPER' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server"

There's your problem, you haven't changed your Username inside Navicat.
You're using "root" at the moment so you can't connect with anything but "root" until you change your Username in Navicat / SQLyog.

If you're using Navicat, Follow this:
1. Click Manage User.
2. Click Add User.
3. Select the New User and click Select All.
4. Press Save.
5. Change your configsfile to the new username and it should be working!

still did not work i put popper in the user name my hamachi ip for host and root for the rest stil not working but i just changed the realm list in the realmd db and it works. but i found some quests were bugged for my friend and not me and vise vercia so is there a way to unbug quests...ps how do i update for futer repacks

lol this is kind of the latest revision and so on. Which quest is bugged?

I havent found any bugged quests really.

Have you made an correct No-ip redirect DNS for your IP at frostwow.no-ip.biz: ??

Make sure your mysql file in the Mangos folder is open and no other program like apache is interfering in the service, also make sure you downloaded the DUC client from no-ip.org this client is used to refresh your DNS every now and then to make it updated.

Sorry to interfere, but this repack doesnt have a local MySQL. You gotta install a fresh client of MySQL.


And you don't have to download the DUC Client, only if you got a dynamic IP that changes nearly every day.

Simply follow the guide, it's pretty easy to follow really.

try using your external IP instead of No-ip configuration if you can't config it and get it to work.

Maybe I'll post a noobish guide on how to make an No-ip config...

In MySQL, Did you change the name for the Database Characters? or did you not write the settings in the mangosd.conf correctly for the database settings?
