[GUIDE] Ascent 2.4.3 using AC Web Repack!

I get this error when I try to run arcemu-world program file. not the conf
Ahhh. doesnt work to upload a image. anyways it says like this :
Connection Failed due to : Can't connect to MySQL server on `Localhost´<100061>
Main Database initialization failed. Exiting.

I dont know if I have done this right but I deleted my previus ascent folder and made a new and extracted the files from arcemu there.
This is what folders/files I got in my Ascent folder:
config (folder empty)

configs (folder with arcemu-logonserver.conf, arcemu-optional.conf, arcemu-realms.conf, arcemu-voicechat.conf and arcemu-world.conf)

dbc (folder with lots of stuffs)

script_bin (folder with 9 files)

scripts (folder with lots of stuff)

sql_update (folder including character_updates, old_updates, world_updates and some other files.

That was the folders. now to the files :
Arcemu-logonserver.exe
Arcemu-world.exe
ascent-logonserver.conf
ascent-optional.conf
ascent-realm.conf
ascent-voicechat.conf
ascent-world.conf
libeay32.dll
libmySQL.dll
msvcp71.dll
msvcr71.dll

Ive tried to use the Arcemu program files with the arcemu config files
and I have tried to use ascent program files with the ascent config files
and I have tried to combine them all.
Nothing seems to work on my vista.
Does AC web repack actually work on vista?

Sandile, go to your AC Web Repack folder, then Server, then run 'MySQL.batch'
after that open navicat and try from there.

on another note...
can anyone confirm that this works on Vista? (probably a stupid question, but i'm a noob -.-) I get a message when i try to run both Arcemu-Logonserver and, Arcemu-World (.exe) that reads "The application has failed to start because it's side-by-side configuration is incorrect."

any ideas on how to fix this??

Cridion, there are lots of guides to do that on MMOwned, go read one -.-
or if you're that lazy (oh yeah, "lazy leecher" >.>) download hamachi (google it, not hard to find a link), get you friends to download it, create a network, have your friends join it then have them change their realmlist to "Set Realmlist <Your Hamachi IP>". your hamachi IP is the number at the top of the window for hamachi. There may be something else that i forgot or don't know, but that's why i recommend searching for another guide.

I have some trouble with the navicat "test connect" when I press the button it says error..

There is a pop-up that says
"recieved invaild response to SSL negotiation: A"

And the other says
"server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while proccesing the request."

i wish i could help you there, i use heidiSQL instead of navicat and it works fine for me, im just having trouble with the side-by-side configuration error.

first of all ... nice guide ... got my server up in no time +Rep
only problem is i got a few BIG bugs in game :
- when i log with my gm account i can select dranei or blood elf but not with a regular account
-boss drop way too much purple
-when i move around ... no zone become explored on the minimap .. it stays blank
-(maybe those 2 are normal for an emu server : guard wont stop walking when i talk to them and mobs follow me only for 1 sec and return to their places)
-some item are missing, like i cant spawn guardian belt/boots/bracer
-last one : when i try to modify a skill using the gm command and the skill number on thottbot ... it never modify that said skill ... says something like adding 255 to skill line 232 and nothing happens. (is it because we got every language skill so skill line are modified?)

those 3 questions are not about bug:
1. does anyone know the b/w consommation per hour of 1 player
2. is it possible to make a server public but only on a lan ?
3. is there a gm command to modify rep with a certain faction
