[GUIDE] Ascent 2.4.3 using AC Web Repack!

I figured out that you can use any SQL program for this, you don't necessarily need Navicat.

For the people who have problems with the Arcemu-World.exe and Arcemu-Logon.exe, look here:

You have the repack installed already,
You configure your configs(C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\Ascent\configs), which is shown in the main post.
Then, you extract the Arcemu rar-file to any folder called Ascent(to remind you),
You take the configured configs and copy them to another folder, which won't get deleted(you will need these), all of them.
Then you delete your whole Ascent folder in the Repack(C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\Ascent) and you just put the Arcemu extractions in there instead. So now you're supposed to have the Ascent folder back into the Repack.
THEN, you take the configs, you put them back into the configs folder, rename them to arcemu-xxxx (the x's show e.g. realms,logon,world,etc.) instead of ascent and then it should work.

Which Navicat do i Download?When I download the navicat lite for Windows XP it says Run or save, and when I click run it just syas error:

This guide works dope... To get it to work on a LAN all i did was enter the IP of the server in the realms list of the other computers on the lan. To get it to fly online I set my router so that the server computer was in the DMZ. I did not know what ports to forward. I then had my friends put my routers IP in the realmlist.wtf. Its sort of sucks that cable changes my IP randomly. So if my friends cant connect they have to call me and I have to ask my router what its IP is.

Question.. the server is running on a vista box with a quad core 2.4 with 4 gigs of ram and it seems to be slow. Is there an easy way to run the server at say +25% or so? I know I can speed hack the game but that must be done on every user every time they open it.

i got the server up and will be making it public shortly but like 2 or 3 problems i got.

1. When i changed my realm name it stays the same and wont go to the one i put.

2. I changed the account username and password from admin admin to my own but now i get stuck at handshaking when i try to log in.

3. how can i had new accounts because all i can do is alter those 2 that are in their.

I have a problem, that i've had many times before when i used private servers. At that time knew how to fix the problem but now i don't, cause i can't remember how i fixed it.

Well, the problem is that i can connect to server and anything but when i click on the server in realmlist it stops on "Connected".

Dammit, i can remember that i had that problem many times before but i could fix it without any problem but now i can't remember how i did -.-

Open task manager and cancel all things that look like mysql then re run i had same problem this fixed

This doesn't answer the actual question but does address your IP problem.

Depending on your router, you could use a dynamic dns service similar to dyndns. This would give you a domain to point at rather than an IP and it auto tracks your IP changes and updates accordingly

Ok, I found solutions for 3 issues. (they're solutions for at least as far as I have gotten. I am waiting for .NET Framework 3.5 to install >_<)

1. The problem with the "Spell.dbc" giving you an error in ascent_world.

2.The "side by side configuration" error.

3.The Missing .dll Files.

ALL 3 Can be avoided by installing .NET Framework 3.5
(at least that worked for me)
