Thanks for making this it really is very easy, but one problem. I want to be able to let other people to the server, so I use navicat and change the ip in the realmlist database to my external ip, then I open WoW (with my set realmlist still being 127.0.0.1) and it sees the server but it can't connect to the realm. I try to change the realmlist to my external ip but then it says unable to connect. HALP!

Otherwish go to your mangos folder

MangosD.csf
RealmD.csf

scroll down till u see 127.0.0.1 and chance them to your ip

i cant seem to find the "realmd" database.....if someone could plz help because i'm trying to make public, so i obviously need to find it

maybe u have Vista?? send screeny of your mangos folder than i can see what ur missing

Thanks a lot, the server works. I'm not sure if there was a post about this (I gave up after 20 minutes of looking in the posts), but my game just crashed back to desktop after I tried to see my character screen (i.e. armor). Any suggestions?

Oh, and anyone know where to get item ID's?

look the item up on Wowhead: It's 3:05... do you know where your characters are?
copy the name and paste it on Item ID to Display ID Converter (maybe cant find so u need to not fully typ the item like: thunderfury but cant find thunderfury so typ thunderf than he can find than click and (the green numbers = spawn ID item
(white numbers = display ID

Okay. This is the 5th guide I've tried. None of the others will get past conected in wow...

I have no firewall. Roughter yes, and all ports are forwarded properly.

I make sure any copy of mysql that was on my system is gone. Reset, and double check. Nope, mysql is gone gone.

I download, extract to my C: drive. I run the files for the maps. Works fine, dump that back in the MANGOS folder.

I run mysql.bat and get the following:
InnoDB: Error: log file .\id_logfile0 is of different size 0 15728640 bytes
InnoDB: then specified in the .cnf file 0 5242880 bytes!


then continues on saying ready for connections.


I run restarter. Right away is says can't onnect to mySQL database access denied for 'root' @ 'localhost'
cannot conect to database.


I have removed all others packs I had. No copy of mysql is running. (and I have checked what files are running on my system)

I have to say, out of the 5 this is the least furthest I've gotten.
Now, what is the issue with this one?


Sorry if I sound annoyed, but thats is how I feel. Going through enough guides, plenty of packs. And not a one of them works. So yes. I am currently very annoyed and would likie some real help please and not be stuck in a thread where the same thing is asked over and over and no one is asnwering.

...and on top of it all. I am unable to get any of the windows that this thing opens to close. Can' X out of any of em. I right click and tell restarter to shut down, nothing. I can not get anything to close. >.>

I opened my server so I could let my friend play in it with me, I made us both accounts and logging in works fine but it goes to the realmlist with the realms I made, I log into one and it just says "logging into realm" for a minute or two. I forwarded ports and changed the realm to my IP so if you have any suggestions then thanks.

I have one problem with the server, probably minor; but when i start it up, it seems to be running perfectly; but if i try and connect to it from another ip (another computer) i am able to log in and pick the realm and all that but once i hit enter to enter the realm i get an instant D/C, what could be causing this? i opened all the ports and did the port forwarding that was needed.

Also, I have another question, how would i go about changing the DB? i kind of want a fun server, is it possible to do so with this repack?
I'm clearly new to all this, sorry for all the questions....

srry taiin cant help u

asmodel: otehr comp with ur accaount cant cause ur id-logfile is only on your main maybe put ur is-logfile on a usb and plug it on the other comp

that error happend to me, what you need to do is put the ad.exe and maps folder, depending on your game verser GB or US. I made a mistake of using the US maps for my GB version of wow, and got that error. Don't know if this helps

Open MySQL
Open Navicat(connect with MySQL
open Realmd With NaviCatt then realm or something there isinformation about ur server just press down button and make new name

(dont know how to chance exp rate) only now how add new server

Maybe you have the map files of mangos for a different version of the game or different patch? thats what happend to me, i got lazy and did it the quick way, messed everything up.


P.S i do have the noobpack, i just can't get pople to log in, maybe you could try my realmlist info? maybe it just doesn't want to work for me since i'm running under a router?
