Maybe you have the map files of mangos for a different version of the game or different patch? thats what happend to me, i got lazy and did it the quick way, messed everything up.


P.S i do have the noobpack, i just can't get pople to log in, maybe you could try my realmlist info? maybe it just doesn't want to work for me since i'm running under a router?

Hey when you say open the "realmd" to allow others on your server, which do you mean cause I have three in the folder. I have the world doc. then CONF file and the realmd program. Which should I be opening to find the realmlist?

than run MySQL and than navicat

make new connection Only Chance name u like and the pass = root

than connected u see some files like
MySQL
Mangos

Right Click Mangos And press Open Database

than on the right u see a list press RealmD
and change your ip or name if u want 2

when i try to get people to connect through hamachi they get in but they get stuck at realmlist...

well, I loaded your repack in 3 steps and it worked fine off localhost. (kudos, REP, etc., nice job) I've submitted two requests to the Emulator Questions thread regarding problems I'm having trying to configure this for access over a LAN (not from the Internet). My intention is to have a server I can run in a building without an internet connection and have others with WoW on laptops connect to the LAN and play.

I ran into a snag when I modified the realmlist record to change the address from 127.0.0.1 to 192.168.1.x . I noticed it only affected port 3724 traffic. So I edited the 3306 line, and it added a new record with the 192.x address, and gave it a new record ID and pushed the {NULL} one down. I tried to access from another computer on the LAN and it failed, so I went back an deleted the record from MySQL (using SQLyog). Yes I changed the .wtf files locally each time.

Now it will not work from the localhost anymore. It hangs at 'Connecting to Server' now where before it would hang at the 'connecting to realm' after providing the listed realm name. I have *not* rebooted the machine hosting MaNGOs.

See my two posts, one requesting advice on which products are better (SQLyog vs Navicat, etc) and the other with the keyword 'LAN' in the subject.

Ok, I have a problem...
When I first get it going, I change my Realmlist to 127.0.0.1
I then open up mysql and restarter. I then Open up wow and type in 3 for a account name then 3 for a pass word.

I can connect to the Realmlist but the MaNGOS server is offline. When I exit, I get a pop-up that says it cannot open the Server...IDK

I downloaded the Batch file and saved it into the folder, when I run it it, it opens up a CMD window and says the following in it.


C:\Documents and setting\Rich\Desktop\Server\MANGOS>mangosd
Using configuration file mangosd.conf .
MaNGOS/0.12.0-SVN <Revision 6360> <Win32,little-endian> <world-daemon>
<Ctrl-C> to stop.

It then does a large Mangos word using M's....

World Database: 127.0.0.1;3306;root;root;mangos
Could not connect to MySQL database at 127.0.0.1: Can't connevt to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' <10061>

Cannot connect to world database 127..0.1;3306;root;root;mangos


And help will be greatly appriciated. Sorry, I wasnt sure how to post my screenshot of the window into here, pasting wouldn't work...
