in the new v7 repack, there is no clean blizz world (even when running _blizz)? dang, there's even a mall in it now and tons of custom weaps, guess I'll have to remove it all

Hi, i'm new and i've downloaded the v7.exe installer.. i've installed it in C:\trinity but then i can't go forward in the installation process because in the file downloaded, i haven't the vmaps_exatractor tool and i also haven't the tree .sql files. (characters.sql, realmd.sql, trinity.sql). I hope you can help me. Bye, Antani PS. i'm not good in programming xD

Oh one thing, it might clear out some problems, v6 used to auto install on C:, and v7 tries to instal on partition you have the installer on, so make sure you do change it to C:

When I seem to run the installer,it doesnt have the vmap.exe files it says i should have. this is all i have...




3 Folders: Core32bit,Data,and server.

Also HaKaShi Restarter 4.5,config,readme,and uninstall.

Why am I missing the other stuff?

i've installed it in C:\trinity

READ 2 or 3 pages back!!!!
You do not need sql folders or anything like that
It is complete and ready to go
Also Read the Readme included in the install

Why do I try so hard to error proof this ?
Always a few will make it harder than it is

Please read the Release note on page 111 i think it is
you need to Download Both the installer and VmapSupport.exe
There is No Extractor available I had to use a 3rd party software to make the maps / dbcs / and vmaps
PLEASE follow the v7 directions
I spent "IMO now" To much time writing it it seems
No one is reading the release notes
If they had these questions would not even come up

Please Read the notes thats what they are there for

2 steps
click v7.exe
Make sure it installs to C:\Ultracore
Click VmapSupport.exe Same thing
Not hard

Then you edit your configs and you done

About missing things
Very simple really
No more support for those things
And I refuse to clutter my drive
Why would I clutter yours?
on v7 x64 has to use the 32 bit
no way around it

Yes WG has been Ripped out of the core due to the issues of it breaking other bgs and causing random crashes
I will add back to core ONCE and only when we have these issues corrected

WG was taken out of core to improve stability
And if i find other things that crash core they will get the AXE too

Remember this is not permanent
just a temp fix

it is NOT a fix when you have to remove code
its is a bandaid and I dont like the fact that 1700 lines of code had to be removed to end the crashes and broken BGs
but We have many users who depend on this core and its stability

So this took priority
again i ask for patience as we work this out

Source for v7 is now in svn
Rip it and call the work yours and it will be the last commit to svn
Or Maybe the last change Ultracore ever does
I will be watching the repack releases to see
theres one thing that is in our core that is in no other and if i see it
SVN is wiped and UC may close its doors

If your waiting on WG you have a VERY long wait
Every time someone pushes the issue on wg i push it to the bottom of my list of things to fix
So again
WG just went to bottem of list

you can also thank the Ac web community too
Because I was working on it till Cursed kept pushing the issue

Your work is awesome, people always want more tho, ALWAYS.
Just dont pay attention to it, or do, but to a extent that you can cope with, and also do try to shield yourself from it getting to you. People will always whine, ignore it, and keep on doing the awesome Job.
