As i have covered about 20 times since v6
Download the Data.rar
it contains the maps vmaps dbcs
All of these need replaced
for core to run

Forgive me if i'm missing something very obvious here - but how i do the SQL server up? I'm not very experienced with using repacks.

I've installed V7.exe and Vmaps, both into C:/Ultracore, I'm just not 100% sure where to go from here. Running the Hakashi restarter yields an error -

Could not connect to MySQL database at 127.0.0.1: Access denied for user 'root1'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Cannot connect to world database 127.0.0.1;3306;root1;ascent;world_blizz

Any help is muchly appreciated.

You shouldn't run Hakashi restarter, you just go into C:/Ultracore/Server And run 2 files, "Apache" and "MySQL"
Than you go into C:/Ultracore/Core32bit( or 64 whatever you have :F)/Blizz and run 2 files again :: TrinityCore and TrinityRealm

[ERROR] Do you already have another mysqld server running on port: 3306

Im guess im getting this because i have a MaNGOS server running? Any way to sidestep this without having to delete it?

Try using root as the username, instead of root1. Password should be ascent.

Hey Thorval the error you got is caused by port 3306 being used by either another mysql or program.

Mainly because its handled by the dbcs now

if core crashes it will restart it

how to fix this
go into task manager
look to see if you have a mysql process running
Close it if so
then go to repack
launch the mysql bat
and you should be good
yes you have a mysql instance running if your running a mangos server
MAKE SURE YOU SHUT DOWN YOUR MANGOS SERVER FIRST BEFORE KILLING YOUR MYSQL!!!!!!!!!!!!

To set up you need these 2 files for initial setup


Click Here For The Main Installer This is part 1!

Click Here For VmapSupport.exe This is part 2!

If you have not downloaded VmapSupport in v6 or v7 you need to in v8
This server will not load with out it
If you still have vmapsupport from v6 or v7 release this file doesnt need to be re downloaded

For The first time set up

launch v8 then launch vmapsupport
WARNING IT MUST BE INSTALLED TO c:\ultracore or it will not run
C being primary drive letter

Note if you dont take the time to read this you will not get support later
this is a simple setup dont make it hard

Making server live is in the readme supplied with the repack

1. Open navicat
2. Dump to sql The following
a. Char_blizz
b. Char_pvp
c. char_fun
d. Realmd

!!now make sure they are NOT in your ultracore dir or it will be deleted!!

3. Now click the uninstall wait for it to finish
4. Click v8 Remember c:\Ultracore
it might say files are already there do you want to write over
YES
Map systems and dbcs have been re done
once done
5. reinstall vmapSupport is you dont have vmaps in your vmap dir

NOTE: I Did not config the configs on this release its your server your settings
Config away
theres new names for configs dont worry about the names

next open navicat
select each db and batch sql that matches
and exit and your done
Launch core and your ready to play







ALSO while doing this make sure your server is offline same with apache and mysql















Now Lets see how many can screw up such a Simple Install
