i have a question about Navicat. When i am creating a connection for my server it asks me for a connection name, a host name/ip address, port, username, and password. well, i dont know if im just completely clueless but i dont know where or how to get a host name/ip address. could someone plz help me out, cuz im so confused... to the point where i dont even know up from down, lol

Its important you config it right

Connetion name : Ascent

Host name: localhost

Port: Set it to something

Username: Admin

Password: Admin

You can change username and password to anything you like

i tried that and it said "2003-Can't connect to MySql server on 'localhost' (10061)"

sounds like you need the boss scripts ....

ok ok i'm an UBER NOOB!! i dont know programming and every time i find "possible" program to make my own private server i come to page not found ... or you have to do this then this then this then this with this and that.... confused before i get program started let alone configured is there ANY premade packages thats easy to use and or tutorial for how to use mysql and or hamachi?

chrispees repacks are always great... and easy to install
panex repack is also verry easy to install and it has a webpage included for acc registration...
venice has also nice repacks
and a lot other repacks posted here are good ^^ test them and see...

a real instance with portal is impossible if you dont have hell lot of knowledge...
you could go to a place and spawn some Gameobjects and spawn custom bosses and all

how to create mobs, guides are posted all arround
or try using ascent database editor... (in programs section)

how to find the number to put after .npc spawn?
go to Wowhead: You'll be back.
search the npc you wnt to spawn...
for example kael'thas sunstrider
when you find it you will be on the page with the npc info.. and the link will be like this: hxxp://www.wowhead.com/?npc=19622
the number in in the link is the number to put after the command

in the accounts table set the column "gm" to az for full GM/admin

if you wnt him to have less possible commands here is a list of GMflags you can set in that column (instead of az) and info is with them:
