Hey, does anyone know if I can keep the Real Version of Wow on my computer, unchanged and able to play; but also have an emu be stored and ran off an external hard drive?

Yes after what I have experienced before, you can store it on different harddrives, you must just be sure to run wow from the right copy. and If you want to be real safe, then call your private server something else than World of Warcraft (Like renamiong it "Local Weather" or something)

If you get problem with this then use the IP swich metode on the realmlist.wtf and plz tell on this forum, cause then I'll not to myself that this does not work.

Hi ive been trying to setup an Ascent server its Chripsees repack.. i get this errormessage when i try to start ascent.exe

Read the guide again mate. My guess is that you either havent configured Ascent.conf right or that you dont have it in your repack. If not hten just try another repack :P Im layzie and tired

K, um i used mangos, antrix, and ascent and I get error messages like this on antrix and ascent:

The application failed to initilize proplery (0xc0150002) Click OK to terinate the application.

Hey, I got the new 2.2 Patch and I cannot manage to log onto my server it connects but brings up the Realm Window with no Server!
I used to be always able to connect same with my friends.
I also have changed my MaxBuild to 9999.
I am running an Antrix Server.

Edit: I also changed my Client MinBuild to 7272 ( I believe that is the 2.2 patch) I also deleted my Cache folder/

As posted in another post on the forums:

Go to your logonserver.conf
Search for "<Client MinBuild = "
You should see something like this:
<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild = "6739">
Change it, to something like this
<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild = "9999>
That should make almost all the future patches work

The issue regarding burning crusade probably has to do with either that you have not installed TBC, or that your pack doesn't support TBC (TBC=The Burning Crusade.) there are lots of good guides that explains this. First of all, let me recommend that if you decide to set up a new one, then use Antrix. ...
That guide is a good one, just make sure you do it EXACTLY RIGHT.

Edit: Got TBC working, just needed a "flag" set to 8 in the char Database.. O_o
Setting up emuservers shouldnt be a problem since i managed this one straight off the bat but still the question is which is better ?
Whats the differences between antrix and ascent ? And which repack is "best" ?
JulianX's came highly recommended but chrispee's seems good too, does that support TBC ?

If im getting this correctly its the repack that mainly effects the features and quests ect. that you can do not the emu ?

2 your second question. You arent rly missing that much. You miss a great comunity and a lot of fun group play. you miss the chanse to get some new friends and to experience all the awsome dungeons the way that they are supposed to be (With a full group of people playing.) You will also miss some game mechanics that the maker of the private servers havent made to remake. Beond that, there isnt much you miss.

Although I gotta say I wont miss the ppl who keep turning me into a boar, hackers, spammers, idiots.. well u get the picture =)

Umm.. sooo antrix supports the new 2.2.0 patch too ?
Does ascent ? I wish there was a way to tell definately instead of all this guesswork :confused:

A few quick things,

1 - In order to get Tier vendors and stuff do u need antrix?
What I have is Tompack (look up MAB Private server setup 2.1.3 on youtube)
I got mysql / realmid / mangos

2 - How the f*** do you get these vendors to appear? Unless you have to use the Id's like .addvendoritem (name) or whatever

3 - will it work on the mangos version thing I have?

4 - Can someone please help me? i've downloaded a few things for tier vendors and custom items and stuff but NOTHING shows up.. not even a tier vendor on gm isle and i checked every island (.tele GMisland, GM1, GM2, programmerisle)

ok so im using http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulat...s-vendors.html scotts vendors and he says to execute it as a .sql file. OK so now i have the file with all the custom vendor info now how do i execute it into Sqlyog?

open up sqlyog and right click on your database ,then click restore from dump
and choose the file you want then click execute

Step 2: Right click on your database
Step 3: click restore from dump
Step 4: then choose your file
Step 5: click execute
Step 6: restart your server

Whenever I do logonserver.exe it says Precaching accounts 0? When I put 7 Accounts there in my SQLYog. I double checked it and even triple checked it!
But, it still doesn't find them.
I'm using JulianX's Repack V5.

I am new to the emulation thing. Just want to know whats the easiest way to get into raid instances solo. If possible? Also im no sure how to set up accounts so my friends can play. I use the ac-web 6.7 repack

To make accounts for your friends... type .createaccount "account name" "Pass" "Email"

To get to solo instances, thats in your DB, you have to make it a 5 man instance so you can go in alone

my friend has tried it before simply using an wireless connection which should make them able to join my server... i dont know anything about those two you mention its not for them to play from a far but you know like a LAN thingy do you think that is possible? anyways i have changed my mind and is now on the lookout for a nice server with lots of people and one that is ofcourse ---> FREE... well if anyone knows a server that is fantasticly fun to play plz write ...
