I am running a old version of the game 2.3.2 and i have the server stuff for 2.3.0 ... is there any way that i can get it working ?( i am not online with this server pc at the moment so i can't get the updates and i don't have a pc which i can download and install them from ) i can get almost logged in and it won't let me get Just past the load screen . a friend of mine told me a few months ago on how to make your system read only up to a certain patch. I just happen to forget what and where and how.

i'm using Pico's repack .. i like it .. its a decent database and runs very smoothly on my pc. This is the only issue i am having.. hook a fellow server runner up . Thanks

How can he make me able to access?

AZ is an 'admin' as some say A to Z spells so that can do all spells. If you wish to make them 'gms' in the column 'gm' put in 'gm1, gm2 gm3' etc.

Even if your server is public make sure the IP thing is 127.0.0.1

No man, Im trying to connect to my mates database which is on hes computer faar faar away, I dont have it on my own computer. So I cant put it 127.0.0.1

So, anyone know why I get access denied? followed the guide i got on first reply, (page 50 bottom)

Your must enter the DNS of the server, get his root name and password.

Also, the host must have enables "Root acces" when he installed MySQL

Going to repost as it is a few pages back now.

Now my problems need to be answered.


1) Okay. So no one can talk to the Battlemaster or Arena blokes.

The window doesn't pop up or anything and a sort of error code is output on the ascent-world.exe window.

There is probably already a fix for this but I couldn't find anything on it or it is jsut the simple fact that I may be on the wrong rev.

2) My teleporter NPC works fine for Alliance. It's great! I absolutly love it.

Then I started getting tickets from all the horde players saying that they can not talk to the teleporter. The teleporter is friendly for both alliance and horde. As I said before it works fien for alliance. On the other hand when a horde palyer clicks on the NPC the npc Window jsut doesn't open up. This is a real shame because I spent a S***load of tiem makign this NPC, gettign all the coords of about 50 different loactions.

This must be just a small problem. I have experimented by changing the npctype, flags and faction. NOTHING WORKS! If anything it will jsut break it for Alliance too.

1.) You need to add the gossip flags to the NPC in the creature_proto table (1 + currentflags)

2.) Just use GlobalNPC

When i did made a private server with a guide on youtube, everything worked fine, only patterns, plans and formulas doesn't work, anybody has a fix for this?

Did your guide tell you to download a repack or taught you how to compile the core?
If it did the latter, just compile the latest rev of your flavor. Former, check out the guides section here on how to compile.

I had to download a repack and everything worked except for the plans etc. as i told already.

and i downloaded a recipefix, which i had to dump via navicat. But didn't do a thing.

I was wondering how to upgrade my server? It's very odd, I have the Isle of Quel'Danas on my world map, but I can't there by .recall ports, by the snow globe thingy in Shatthrath or any other means... I also have Season 4... It's very odd, but how would I upgrade anyways?

Also, how do you make it so you obtain an item, such as a token, every time you kill a person?
