Opinions are still allowed... the first post is correct and is saying the truth but you are still allowed to have your opinion about it...

well either way people are still going to play and when WoW gets bad and boring like SWG did for those of you who play it the private servers are gonna shot way up regardless of ilegal or legalness and blizzard will rarely ban your accounts because they would have to ban a lot then and they still want your $15 a month or what ever plan you have it is comlicated
but do not worry at first this post mad me so worried but do not worry there are litarrly millions of people on private servers blizzards not going to take action on every server maybe the big ones if they become trouble and as far as ID theft make sure you know about your server before you play it or make an account!!!

DOH OFC ascent is illigea! ya think that blizzard would allow any1 to play without paying? are you guys serious? ... hacking/botting/mediting/3rd party program using is also illegal..... its all a risk.... +the main reason private servers were created is because ppl didnt want to pay 2 play... but as time passes by that reason has changed; now ppl make/join private servers just for fun. what else could it b? since most of us do have a retail acc, its just that sometimes we get tired of lvling and we want something unique that can only b found in pserver........

I Think Blizzard doesn't care about Private Servers... Except the Big ones... WoWscape,Aniwow,WoWgasm,Toxicwow etc... Because out of ALL the Private Server's there are, there are like 150,000 private servers.... Blizzard doesn't care because it takes like 1-6 people away from Retail WoW, Retail WoW has like 10mil. people, Take like 6-20 people away, 100% of retail is still full

What exactly do you mean? You're not getting the full gaming experience if you play alone on a private server. No PvP, only way to raid is through cheats, etc.

WoW is an MMORPG. If you're the only one playing, it's just an RPG, and by taking away the MMO part, you're taking away part of what makes any MMORPG what it is.

So in a way you're not really playing WoW, just looking at game content. It's almost the same as using Model and Map viewers.

Hosting your own private server is a different story though.

These emulators are not only against the Terms of Use and Toerms of Service, they can actually install keyloggers onto your system and steal you WoW information and get yout account permanently banned, not to mention the havic they can pull on your personal indentity.
