I still get the Parameter error as seen in page 14.

Then comes the issue. i read ALL the .conf and configured them the right way but i may have mistaken somewhere, but i can't see where lol. i can run Ascent-logonserver.exe and it goes okay but when i run Ascent-world it show me the Die message... but i DID read all the configuration and do not know where it went wrong so please help me !

also if sending my config docs would help i will do so. thx

The only time you will see a DIE message is when you dont comment out BOTH die messages in the ascent-world.conf.

EDIT: im still using MySQLyog and WAMP5, i saw in the world configs in the types that there is only MySQL and not yog, is it different, woul i be better with navicat and a dynamic IP like in Mafia pack tutorial ?

how you get the database into MySQL doesnt really matter - use what your comfortable with. (personally, I like navicat.)

There are many tutorials on this site that explain how to get a core/database up and runnig.

Basically -

1. Download the "comipled" core and database
2. extract the core somewhere
3. modify the config files correctly.
4. import the database to Mysql
5. launch Ascent-LogonServer.exe
6. launch Ascent-World.exe

login and play. You will probably need to create your self an account..
(This is for Navicat - I dont use Heidi or any other proggy )
Open Navicat and connect to your Mysql server. (if you dont know how do this, please use the SEARCH feature for a detailed tutorial..)
Open your database - if you have 1 database with the WORLD and CHARACTER tables, great, if split, then open the CHARACTERS database (Whatever you named it..)
open "Accounts" table.
click on "FORM VIEW"
add your info. be sure to click the "+" in the lower left corner to save your record.
goto the dos window that "Ascent-LogonServer.EXE" is running in.
type "reload"

Now launch wow - login, create a toon, play.

Hope thats helpful. Again, there are MANY MANY more in-depth/detail oriented guides and tutorials floating around this forum. Please take the time to search and read em.. 90% of the problems with people getting thier server up is becaused they missed something. (Myself included!)

ok look.. I'm that kind of server hosters who's making custom items for the players.. But.. Since I installed world database rev 1103 NCDB, I couldn't get any of the weapons to work anylonger.. I can execute them to my world database, but they doesn't work in game.. Using WoW-V's itemcreator .. What's going on? :b

i got to the last step thx to you help but, i get an access violation error when opening World-ascent, at the end after it loads a lot of .dbcs, anybody knows why ?

Edit: Btw i used Spartansp DBC files since they were not in the 3.9 ascent compile.

Access Violations occur when the database is not compatible with the core, did you use the SQL updates i provided?

Gastric i have a fu.ing error......if i try to spawn my custom npcs it says Invlaid NPC Id or sumthin like these....example .npc spawn 123456 say Invalid npc ID or .npc spawn 150000 it says same Invalid NPC Id
