[2/24/08] Ascent Compiles and Extras

When I try to log in, it says Unable to Validate Game Version.. I'm using the latest core and I have game version 2.3.3, can anyone help me?

Change your ascent-logonserver.conf to:

<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild = "9999">

instead of:

<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild = "6739">

NCDB rev doesnt work with this problem, it's ascent related.

Ive 1100 on my site if anyone wants it.

There might be something wrong with NCDB 1074.. First of all.. I had to fix the questlog and mailbox_insert_queue.. that sucks.. And another thing is.. I don't know if its only a hunter bug, but hunters can't get their pet quests at lvl 10.. When they take their cursor on the trainer it has the yellow "!" .. But, there's no quest to pick up when they ríght click.. They're only available to train skills.. I've tried to change their flags, but it won't work either.. can anyone help?

Im kinda new with all this stuff but i once hosted a server with Wamp5 SQLyog ascent and TNPS Database V8, it was kind of simple and had no real problem, but with garlic's ascent core and NCDB, im having trouble, it may because im new in all this stuff. First of all, i loaded NCDB 1074 and lastest Ascent Core, then extracted the .sql database of Milestones under the Release folder in the pack, i restored from dump a database named ascent with the wold sql in it and anoter called characters wich contain the character database in the extra files.

Then comes the issue. i read ALL the .conf and configured them the right way but i may have mistaken somewhere, but i can't see where lol. i can run Ascent-logonserver.exe and it goes okay but when i run Ascent-world it show me the Die message... but i DID read all the configuration and do not know where it went wrong so please help me !

also if sending my config docs would help i will do so. thx

EDIT: im still using MySQLyog and WAMP5, i saw in the world configs in the types that there is only MySQL and not yog, is it different, woul i be better with navicat and a dynamic IP like in Mafia pack tutorial ?

OK, so i have all the .conf files configured correctally (that i know of) and my database set up with the latest NCDB. Then i start ascent-logonserver.exe and then ascent-world.exe but it only go's a few lines down when i get this error:

sql: One or more parameters were missing form database directive.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

how did you get custem text in your ascent compile cos i can't ...ive tryed evrything

Ill give you a hint, the file you are looking for has moved to the Ascent-world folder.
