Believe me you wouldnt want to use any other core out there , use the one in the svn is the must compatible one.

Plus theres a fix for that npc problem you have in the svn

i just got venice and ascent.exe isnt loading, just gives up and wants me to send a report to microsoft, theres no errors at all. any ideas guys since everything else works + other cores do

You got the cores config files setup incorrectly.
Plus make sure you got the DBC files in the core as well

doh i figured it out, it was my firewall, sumwere in the back it was asking if it want to allow it, and if i leaev it for more 10secs the exe crashesh lol, strange but oh well at lest i got it working xD

.. You have setup wrong configurations for your mysql in your configs files.
.. Remember Venice Team Does not give already config .config , you must set it up correctly.
.. Next release of Venice will have a more delicate ascent core , modified and scripted by us.

Venice IMporter has 2 sections...

1 sections are just words that no matter what u put in there it wont work..

the other section is the real one where w/e u put in will work

I dont seem to understand I start it up and it says put in <Some Letter> for a character database thingy then it does the error I posted.
