Mangos <-> Ascent, why is ascent way better?

well i can do this myself... but i am too busy with headless horseman and hyjal ><

can anyone (i prefer skilled DB and Core developers) post a list with why ascent is so much better then mangos?

cuz some newbies trying to tell that mangos = way better then ascent ><

well i would alos wnt a Core Developer to write down some core blunders etc... more detailed information i wnt :P if you say that to players (mangos has more broken everything) they will just start arguing again.... if you have straight examples of source that is ****ed up and real facts with proof then they have to believe...

I'm thinking that Ascent is way better in programming. Like when you get someone to 50% hp they transform. Know what I mean?

if you mean a boss... i am 90% sure the transforming is done by GMscript... but that is also a good thing about ascent... it supports external scripting

Also, I have found that Ascent is easier to set up(IMO of course, and I'm a noob).

I think that the Ascent GM commands are easier, and more understandable also, you can tell what you are going to do, unlike in Mangos where you type random things to get stuff lol. Mangos is also harder with .go/.npc IMO.

Hm well you know when you compare mangos and ascent, and say stuff like quests works/don't work, you have obviously not clue whats the difference between the core and the database, and if you base your experience just on random servers, there are script kiddies and noobs that think C++ is a type of suncream on both sides for mangos and ascent, you need to review the code and then based on it you make a educated opinion that stands out of the "Mangos sounds cooler than Ascent" opinion. Tho I liked the name Antrix better, but Idc about the name.

Im on mangos, but if someone has a viable solution to transfer characters, items, creatures, loottables and custom scripts from mangos to Ascent, and can assure me that having a character above level 70 on the server won't screw up the whole thing, pm me.
