Ok open both your ascent.conf and logon.conf and scroll down to remorte passwords on both of them. Change it to your liking and make sure they are the same, they can't stay as the default password, so just make it ascent or something. It's not an important password... So yeh...

got this to work, took awhile. config files are pickey.

whats the .recall port for the shopping mall I cant seem to find it.

I got it to run locally, i got a DNS and now when I open the ascent file the DB will load, i get a port 8129 socket bind error and it shuts down.

any suggestion?

In the Logon server config change it to this.

Go into logon.conf, scroll down to client minbuild/maxbuild and it should say
<Client MinBuild = "6739"
MaxBuild = "6739">
Change it to
<Client MinBuild = "6000"
MaxBuild = "7500">

ok i have nothing installed in my computer, no sql nothing, just WoW TBC 2.1.3 now, any way i could get one single file that has everything in it? cause when i dl your repack its got like 5 different RAR's in it, and i have no idea what do with them, the "tutorial" shows you how to use all this stuff once its already installed. so??? help plz im just changing over from mangos to this so i did a clean slate and deleted mysql. i do not have navicat either..dont even know what it is

This is a great guide, Except I have one problem. When i run Ascent.exe, It gets so far and says "Main Database Initialization Failed." then closes straight away. Please help, I've done everything as far as I can see, including adding the blank accounts.

EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed it by changing my config file slightly, I had the wrong password XD
