Love this guide. But i have this strange problem. ascent.exe opens and i get the message "Main database initializion failed. Exiting"

Hey, I was trying to use your repack to create and Ascent Server but I came up with 1 little problem. When I hit Ascent.exe it instantly closes after it starts up. Any ideas?

There are 2 of these, one in the midde and one at the end, totally delete them.

I would dump the database and re execute it. If that doesnt work, you would have to ask chripsee.

ive done that a few times and it hasnt fixed it how come you dont have to execute anything from the repack? Or do you?

no you should not have to. Ive setup this repack twice on two different computers. Have not had a problem with NPCs or anything. Try redownloading the repack maybe?

Idk if there changing the scale would be a quick db fix or not, im not really good with navicat/sqlyog to figure that out lol. sorry.

I'm getting "The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002) when running logonserver.exe and ascent.exe. What is wrong here? I've updated Windows XP pro and I'm still getting this msg. Pls help me

I just had this problem on my laptop, go and update to Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0

The framework is an optional update that probably why it didn't install when you updated.

Got everything working yet all the NPCs are at 255 scale. Any ideas?

Nvm I just deleted .conf files and replaced with new ones. Worked like a charm Great repack you got here chrispee

I just cant login. when i logon i come to "logging on to gameserver" or something like that, and then go back to realmlist. what should i do?

i downloaded this.. does it need antrix to work or something? every vendor download i use always fails I dont know how to get them to work..

any advice?

i have tompack on my computer..
MySQL / realmid / Mangos
and I start them up in that order..

for some reason all of the NPCs on my server are big when i updated my database?
