I've been playing on a pre-bc server for awhile, requires 1.12.1 of WoW.
Pretty fun and community is growing. Just hate how long it takes to level ;p

There is one new 1.12 core coming up soonish, but not sure if the creators will share it, I'm not 100% sure wether it's allowed to say the servers name here, so I won't say it, but the server will be up and running mid june. :>

I've just started playing on Q-Gaming, it runs on 2.4.3. Pretty decent, I think they've done a good job with the Pre-TBC content, there's around 400 players online normally, but most of them are on the horde. And oh boy, it was REALLY annoying to download WoW 2.3 client(saves time) and then patching to 2.4.3.

Another problem is that Alliance's mall is at Darnassus, and horde's is at Orgrimmar. Raiding Orgrimmar is impossible because a Mall guard attacks you. >_<

Q Gaming is my enemy Im remaking valhall atm into 3.0.9 pre tbc with disabled talents etc.

Personally, I prefer World of Dalaran's Pre-TBC server. I love it, although I've never tried out Valhall.

Yeah dalarans is rather good. Valhall is not as good as it used to be. But i hope to improve it

My server would be 1.12 but i just dont have the time atm to put all the work into a 1.12 core.

Dalaran is pretty good, but due to the fact there is no cross-faction interactions, alliance cant raid.
+ there is a MILLION bugs.

Q-Gaming is good as far as i tried it,
And IF this 1.12 server comes up, please make a link to where i can download the client ^^

Hello there!
As many of you I played in pre-TBC, and feel like WoW went straight downhill shortly after the TBC (Tuberculosis of WoW) release, and now in Wotlk WoW is just fragments of what it used to be.

So I was thinking, what was it really that made Pre-TBC so fun? The struggle for gear, money, the hard instances and raids and the world PvP?
I know I miss those things.

As in today, gear is attainable in as much as 1 day played to get full heroic epic geared, takes a few hours to get 5000g with the right professions, the easy instances without the "happy-go-lucky" feeling to it, the laughable raids that you can find a pug for in 5 minutes, and the World PvP... The most World PvP you can get today is hunting low levels in Borean Tundra.

So to bring back everything you wish there was a pre-tbc server, right?
But since no one has a pre-tbc server, and it's a pain in the ass to uninstall WoW, patch it up to 1.12 and then download repacks to set up the server, I got an idea.

Now this would take a lot of time, but I think it is much easier than making a 1.12 server.
If you had a 3.1.1+ server, and limited the level to 60, set the flags of all players accounts to Pre-TBC, and just created dungeon set 1 or 2 vendors, and level 60 item vendors, and then let the people do pre-tbc instances for better gear as in pre-tbc, then you'd practicly have a 3.1.1 pre-tbc server, right?

I don't think of this as a real "request" therefor I posted it here, I was just thinking of posting it here so people have something to think about, maybe even create a 3.1.1 pre-tbc server.

There is probably a lot of flaws in my theory, but I just wanted people to think of this.

If you wish I would help develope one with you. I have been looking for a project similar to this. Except my idea was to release a custom expansion and make the cap 90, but make the new material have the qualitys pre TBC had.
