How about only allowing some sort of advanced lua scripts like there's a lot of nub scripts in lua, simply made by poor generators. However there are some advanced and good that may be very helpful.

Some way to allow those only? :S

I definitely agree there are too many bad funserver repacks out there, but what about Blizzlike repacks?

Item releases should be removed entirely imo, they just arn't useful.

As for LUA there are some good things, but almost al of the LUA releases are just the same thing with a couple different names/abilities. I don't want to say to ban lua releases, but make it a strict "grade A" LUA only.

Lol blizzlike repack should be removed all together, sorry if it takes less than 10 mins to compile a core and download a database, there are 100's of guides on how to do all this.

Agreed, finally! +1, gogo remove all repacks. :d

There will be more space for good releases like the arena theme changer and stuff like that wont get outbumped by shitty repacks.

    EDIT:
Are you gonna delete the current repacks too or just leave them?

Right now I'm going to go through and delete the repacks that were just slapped together with a mall and compile.

Keep Lua Boss Fights, but remove and restrict the ones that were simple, easy-to-do scripts.
Stuff that just deals with original functions/commands.
    -------------------------------------
    Example ::
If it just has 4,000 Register Events and thats it, Remove and Restrict those.
Basic stuff, if you would call it, needs to be removed and restricted.
    -------------------------------------

As for the Lua Scripts that have more "Advanced" Stuff, Keep.
All im saying is remove the noob, easy-to-do shit in Lua Boss fights and Let people release advanced, nice, USEFUL scripts that people could actually want on their server and use.
As for the other stuff, i don't really care.

Should help restore MMOwned's name... was good back in 2007 and early 2008... only people who knew what they were doing were releasing crap

    Edit:
Suggestion: Make a "Lua Boss Scripts thread" like the items thread, should weed out all bad scripts

    Hi

I agree, there is to many of the same repacks out, you can get 30 repacks, all the same, just a new mall place, also the vendors is the same (just like in my own LOOL) Repacks out for some time = YES (not to be rude about nobs, some nobs make nice releases and they learn and get better, like me )

scripts??? hmmm also the same and the most of them is not even works, i have 67 c++ scripts and i have edited now 54 just to get them working.. some of them made only for gaining REP (easy too see, its brokken or unfinished in more lines), but they failed (i just say SOME of them failed)

The biggest problem with all releases is that all members is releasing the same stuf, exactly like Gastric says, you can have 50 lua teleporters and morpfers and healers, its borring, come one!! we need new advanced fun stuff, not the same old storyes...

    I agree Gastricpenguin 100%

I think we should keep it as it is.

But I completely agree, people are releasing blizzlike repacks with only NCDB, and call it their own repacks, but that is not made by the guy who posted it, thats why he should name it like "Blizzlike Repack with NCDB" or just have 1 thread for all blizzlike packs, repacks with has alot of custom stuff should be allowed still

I suggest make a thread for the LUA Bossfights like you did with items.. But teleporters.. arnt really needed. And for repacks.. yeah i understand :P theres way to many in circulation atm.

EDIT: Was ment to say teleporters arnt needed

LUA teleporter's and items are NOT needed. There are plenty of guides on how to CREATE YOUR OWN. We don't need them clogging up the release section with worthless junk

@ Moffeman- They will be allowed.

Suggestion - Make the releases section have the "Pending Moderation" thing like WoW advertisements
