Yeap. But their database is not finished and I don't like using stuff that hasn't been "released" yet.NCDB is just the same for ArcEmu as Mangos?
Because they're using and converter from NCDB template to Arc or Mangos?

UDB is kinda like the "official" database for mangos. (~95% of mangos users uses it) When mangos supports 3.0.x, UDB will start to add wotlk content and they are usually very fast at collecting data and such, so you have to wait if you want a quality database with wotlk for mangos.
It should be Mangos Vs Ascent. Not Arcemu.
ahhhh
ye mangos db team works slowly atm becos officialy mangos dont support 303 yet but it will be fast as hell if mangos moves on 303...stable and blizz db
look the mangos 303 changelog and you will see why they dont officialy support it mangos devs want nice clean bugfree emu arc and others are buggy as hell ofc fixes coming but mangos fixing first and then releasing

303 core is pretty finished already. Some features are missing but it's really stable. So that's not a reason to not make DB's. Ah well, NCDB released their WotLK DB partially, so I guess I'll go with that.
I think :
Mangos is good for blizzlike servers (I hate that.. if blizzlike go to blizzard)
Ascent/arcemu/aspire is better for fun server , there are many many many fun releases 4 that
The way I understand it is that Mangos is better for a custom server and Ascent based servers are better for a more "Blizzlike" server...mind you I've only used and setup Ascent so I couldn't say one way or the other from personal experience.
Also I'd like to point out that I personally started playing on my own private server due to the fact that my job started me on an out of town route (truck driver) that had me away from home every-other night and I chose to let my official account go since I felt that paying for an account I couldn't use daily wasn't worth the money...however, I still wanted to get my WoW fix on the days I am home.
Point being...some people may still wish to play a "Blizzlike" server even when paying for an official account isn't worth it or in some peoples cases even possible. If you've paid for the game software, you should be able to play it even if it's not on the official servers.
^Swap mangos and ascent around, mangos is suited way better for blizzlike server than ascent.
You can modify ascent much easier to be funlike, for example the loot system, mangos has it blizzlike where instance bosses drop only 1 blue etc, it's way different than in ascent where every item just has an % of dropping, which tbh isin't blizzlike at all. Theres hundreds of things like this which make the difference.
I think people makes more repacks and dbs for Arcemu because it's much easier to create things for the DB, like DB editor, even the DB is easier to understand.
And no, I changed my mind after looking through some arcemu repacks, actually, they have such major bugs that would take long time to fix. So I will still go for mangos.
/fully agree with moffeman in the arcemu its much easier and the thing is that ppl like they started with mangos then from nothing was realesed this new antrix and its develpoed up very very fast . then for wotlk mangos got first the alpha servers and then even ascent/arcemu .. so thats all about ppl developed more more stuff for ascent emu was much easier with db and even with emu itself u can make a patch easily with c++ or lua this is all in my opinion
