I'm starting a project called World of WoW.
I could find no other name that would describe the project better.
The project will be a WoW server (and release for other servers) that will base itself entirely on the population working together.
Or rather, the entire server will progress as a result of World of events.
The server will begin with a level cap of 10, and many things available from the start.
Leveling from 1 to 2 will NOT be the same 400 XP grind, but will consist of (at least) 1200XP needed to reach level 2.
The server will start with the Major cities locked.
During the grueling grind to 10, there will be an instance and raid available for levels 8 - 10. They will both be outside. Once a certain amount of people will have reached level 10, a world event will trigger and quests and turn-ins (turn-ins will drop from instances/raids) will be available.
When the level cap is raised each time, large amounts of new content will be available up until the next world event to raise the level cap which will allow players to once again work together to do the world event and raise the cap again, unlocking new lore each time to play through (lore will not start from level 1, considering there's not much lore to be done at that level).
I came up with this idea a little while ago when the AQ world event happened again, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted to create something that's like it.
Would anyone be interested in such a project?
