    Repacks = dont allow,
LUA / c++ scripts = allow, people can learn from them and they are actually useful.

Only Bossfights and NPC teleporter scripts are not allowed. Not ALL lua is that, just most.

Teleporter scripts, ye throw those to trashcan - as for bossfights, if they really are good, i dont see a point in not allowing that. But creating a separate LUA section could prove useful ?

Thats pretty much all the Lua there is here that people can share.

Imo, I would like to still see more Lua boss scripts. I learned a bit from looking at Hardball (Halestorm)s scripts.

Who the hell would use an LUA generator.. that limits you alot.
    /offtopic
But what would be left in releases section, if all of these would get deleted?

Good releases such as C++ scripts for example Pwntzyou's arena script or a good core edit. (just as example)

Personally; I think Lua boss fights and Repacks should be allowed to an extent.
You see to many repacks which are just compiled cores with maybe a mall,
To many boss fights that have maybe 1 phase,
Real Lua fights and Repacks should be allowed though in my opinion.
For example, Gastric your repack comes to mind, the one which you used to use for HSWoW; that was all custom with quest chains and loads of new area's etc. That sort of repack should be allowed as a lot of hard work went into it and it's not just a compiled core. While you get some repacks where they've downloaded xamp, compiled a core and called it blizzlike repack.
Same with Lua fights, you get fights which are maybe send a message on <50% and on leave combat and such and think it's good. You get some boss fights which have unique ideas though with lots of phases, tactics, and cinematics. Again, I just don't think it's right banning it all.
These are just my opinions though

stoneharry: imo all those kind of repacks of Gastric your talking about..
Might be better that all of those kind would be posted as patches. Not as repacks.
Since none of them clearly isin't made from the ground up by the poster, he just added his custom stuff to it.

I think Keazain's repack thread should stay opened and continued to be worked on by him.

I mean, thats where I go to get all my updates.

The reason why all repacks are prohibited at the moment is so we have time to come up with a guideline for new repackers.
Keazain's thread will stay since he is compiling fresh bins for everyone. That's not a repack

Making patches + sql queries for custom content can be a nightmare.
    Several reasons:
A: Combatibilty -- There are so many different types, nightmare
B: It's easier to download than execute and apply it all.
C: He might not want to provide the source code.

Edit: This was a reply to Henkke

A:True, creating a patchfile can be hard, but it is not if you decide before you even do anything that your gonna make a patch, instead of full dump of everything.
B: Easier for noobs. They can die in fire.
C: Thought wow emulation community is build on open source. And who knows what kind of malicious code can be hidden in those files if theyr closed.
*edit oh and im not trying to argue, just pointing out these facts, which start go to little offtopic.
