Friend can't get on realm

So I started up a new server using the Chrispee's Sunwell repack.
I have yet to go on my retail account, therefore I have not updated MY client yet.
My husband, on his computer, did update his client. He can log on totally fine, but he can't see the realm.
I can see the realm though just fine and get on and all that.
We plan on running the server together as admins - and I really
need him to be able to get on.
This is frustrating the hell out of me, lol.

This is what this looks like:

<Client MinBuild = "8278"
MaxBuild = "8606">

But, it really seems like I need to patch my server or something?

I downloaded the ascent 2.4.3 patch, but I have NO idea how to use it. lol
It looks like it's all PHP and I am such a noob at this

Or maybe it has nothing to do with that at all and it's something small (I hope)

Lame - he wont downgrade. He switches between retail and private like 50 times a day.

Is there a way to make a copy of the client and downgrade it? and keep the other?
Like have two installs maybe?

yes install the lite client off wow in a differnt folder and use that one

thats just a pain in the ass, just upgrade your server to 2.4.3 lol

I downgraded him and he still cant see the realms. It has nothing to do wtih the patch I guess.
Any ideas? because I am about ready to throw my computer out my window and never play wow again.
It is driving me crazy. I have checked everything - I thought. Except for the downgrading, that was my
last idea and that wasn't it.

I am so going to go cry now.
