How do I get into Friends DB on Heidi SQL

How do I access my friends heidisql database, I tried to log on his DB since he gave me info and it said I didn't have permission to access? Any one know how to make it so I can enter the DB and help him develop?

Tell your friend to reconfigure his mySQL and when he's putting the password in make sure he checks the box that says "Allow access from remote machines" or something of the sort. He can use the same password. Then you should be able to connect

It doesn't matter what program you use, it will work regardless.

Go to Start->All Programs->Look for MySQL->MySQL Instance Config Wizard->Config it like you did the first time with same password and everything just check that box.

He says he does not see MySQL Instance Config Wizard

Load heidi sql or whatever and find in options or something that says users then add a user/pass and that will be the user and pass you use to connect
