FunServers Makes more Noobs?

I agree with Sector on the donation part! Both our realms do very well with donations to cover our costs and we don't offer anything you can not achive in game. Our 19 twink server, we don't even give items. They donate for marks and buy items from the vendors. These are the same marks you earn via BG raid quests and completing PvP objectives. With our Pre-BC server, you currently can't donate for above T2 as AQ is not open yet. We are just starting the War Effort.

I feel the above has not hurt us one bit and really made our server grow alot faster then it would making over powered donor only gear..

I'm 14 yet I have a Gladiator Shaman on retail. I also know LUA, VB, and some c++. I would rather be 14 playing a game then being 20+ playing a game.

I found that people get bored with instant 70, my sever has fast rates, just nnot instant, and i offer rewoards and encourage PVP in the right areas, this keeps people interested i think.

On topic: I don't think funservers make more noobs. Crappy funservers make more noobs :P
Thing is, many funservers are tuned for players who already know the game, who already know what they want and how to PvP / raid. Not for newbies.

I play on a FunServer with no mall but great PVP and I wouldnt say that Im a noob

My server has peaks of 300 to 300++ ( if you know c++ you'll get it )
Uptimes of 24 hours, but then i take the server down for an update.
And the players don't need me, nor my GMs. Granted, this is an instant 70 battleground server with plenty of things to do.

every one is not a emu expert .... and also i when blizz like and i need help bringing in players becuase all my old players got really mad so i was like F them

I switch back and forth between Retail and emu. I don't go on to Funservers for "epix", I go on to see the quility of the server itself and the community. I mean, sure, I know some people are noobs and go on to Private Servers with gold rates of like x400 and then ask for gold because they are lazy, they just give privates a bad rep overall.
